Not just walking tours, we now offer bicycle tours and rentals too. The ghost tour is our most popular tour, but visitors also love hearing about the rich past that lies just beneath the surface of Franklin's quaint Victorian charm. Site of "the most famous battle you've never heard of," according to National Geographic, Franklin's Civil War story will amaze and enlighten you on the most divisive time in American history. Just minutes south of Nashville, Franklin is often cited as one of the most beautiful downtowns in the U.S. Our enthusiastic, knowledgeable guides will make your visit to historic Franklin an unforgettable experience. Our tours include the Classic Franklin city tour, Civil War in Franklin, Grave Matters in the Cemetery, and for fans of evening activities, the Haunted Franklin, Ghosts of the Battlefield at the Lotz House and Murder and Mayhem Tours. Bicycle tours and rentals are available from March-November and our Southern Style food tours allow visitors to savor the flavors of Franklin and enjoy history at the same time. Most tours are available daily by advance reservation; some tours have minimums. Just call and see how flexible and accommodating we can be.

My husband and I came for a weekend getaway and a friend recommended that we do the Franklin on Foot food tour. I have an allergy to gluten so it seemed a bit impossible for me to do. But, the people at the tour company called each restaurant to assure they would be able to accommodate and keep me gluten... More

What a wonderful way to explore Franklin as a dutch person. I loved the ghost tour, it is really a story telling tour. Which made it fun, and not only gave you a better glimpse in the Franklin ghosts, also in its history, and the locals today. I had so much fun!

Alicia was our tour guide, and we had such a fun evening touring the haunted locations of Franklin! She was very fun and knowledgeable on the subjects, and made for a fun evening of paranormal activity and a good time by all!

We loved our Civil War tour with Margie. You can tell she truly loves her career, loves working with people, and loves history. My family is very interested in the Civil War, but we still learned a lot of new, local information about it on our tour. Margie was also very helpful and flexible when we scheduled our tour.

On a recent trip to Nashville, we took a day trip to Franklin. Nice downtown area and took a tour with Margie. She provided a fun and informative walking trip around the town. A great way to learn the history of the town. On future trips, we will look at other available tours by Franklin on Foot.

Franklin is my hometown so I am somewhat partial - but I think my opinion is substantiated by tourists who frequent out town. It is a beautiful town to stroll and enjoy.
