Loved my stay at the lakefront campground. It’s rustic with a bathhouse (toilet and sink but no showers) but the view is incomparable! Each site is less than 10 feet from Kentucky Lake. Big kudos to Ranger Aaron who stopped by and was kind enough...More

We were doing a self-drive tour of Civil War sites. We had visited Fort Donelson and were on our way to Shiloh. The Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park was listed online as a Civil War site, though little information was given about it. As it...More

The park is located on the western side of the Tennessee River near Eva TN. The area is quite rural. The group lodge was clean on our arrival.. The group facilities are air conditioned. We did not visit the beach. Our group took several hikes...More

We stayed in one of the large, comfortable cabins. Our backyard view was of beautiful Kentucky lake. The Museum and Interpretive Center is great and it sits on one of the, maybe the highest, peaks in West TN. You can see forever at the lookout....More

The cabins at this park are lovely and large! The deck overlooking the lake is a great place to sip your morning coffee, or have a chilled adult beverage in the afternoon. The trails are wonderful and there is a fantastic folklife center with artifacts...More

Both the park office and the interpretive center are interesting and staffed with friendly people. The Interpretive Center was a small museum and included hours of video on many different, but geographically related topics. The view from Pilot Knob Hill is beautiful, overlooking the river.

A place to learn history about the civil war and old history of the Tennessee River. Watch movies free and eat fresh popcorn free and learn all about the history of the area.

A bit out of the way, but this park has a nice setting with great historical value. The camping is a value and from what I've seen of the cabins, another great deal. Lots of hiking here, but the hidden gem is the Interpretive Center....More

We didn' go to a beach area...however, you can walk down to the lake from the pet cabins...not sure about the other cabin access. The edge of the water has a wide path of small rocks. I would want to wear shoes.
