No matter how warm it gets...this place is always a cool place to chill out.. Beautiful spot deep in the Appalachian mountains... Plenty of hiking, streams and wading area.. A must see...

I do have to say we got there and it was not open yet. We did walk around and saw Rock Creek Falls but it was not what I was expecting.

If you want to visit a very nice lake, this is the place to go. I live near by and went for a day trip, it was well worth the drive

Super place to get in touch with the outdoors. Campfires, swimming in cool mountain pool, cool breezes, pleasant walks in nature. Wear your hiking shoes. Nature trails, mountain streams. Kids will find a lot of outdoorsy stuff to do. Leave the computer games at home....More

Wonderful place to camp, hike, picnic, or swim.. Great for your family! The water is very cold!!! Beautiful hike to a waterfall and campsites are clean as well as restrooms.. Great for vacation!

I think there is one around Nolichucky River. Search on Nolichucky River rafting and adventures. Not sure of the name.
