We visited yesterday and although it could have been a complete disaster because of the weather, our tour guide Jake turned the day into one I’ll never forget. I had never been rafting before and even after we saw that it was very cold and supposed to rain, we decided to brave the weather and go anyways. Once we get on the water, we realize that it is even more cold than we had expected and we were not prepared at all. Around 30 min in, it starts pouring on us and I’m wearing nothing but a tshirt. On top of being very informative about the river and making sure we were laughing and enjoying the trip despite all the negative turns, Jake sees I’m cold and takes off his jacket and gives it to me. He showed an act of kindness that was above and beyond his job description and I am forever greatful because I’m not sick today. We will absolutely come back when it’s warm and request Jake!

My wife and I and our neighbors booked a full river trip on Saturday, 20 June. The facility is very nice, clean and well maintained. There was a delay in departing for the river due to the extra time needed to check everyone in due to coronavirus protocol. Once on the river, we had a blast. Our guide David was exceptional! This was our first time on the upper section and it didn't disappoint! The Class 4 rapids were challenging and David made it a trip to remember. This was my 5th trip on the middle section. Was my first opportunity to "ride the bull" through a rapid which was a thrill. We live nearby in Murphy, NC and will definitely be using Ocoee Rafting and guide David the next time we have visitors who are interested in a thrilling adventure on the Ocoee River!

We really enjoyed our experience with this tour company. We took the full river rafting tour, doing both upper and middle sections of river. Highly recommend. Lots of higher grade rapid areas, not all class 2 or 3 like some other rivers I’ve been on. Our guide Colton was very experienced and several times “surfed the rapids” with us so we could be sure to experience the full effect of the rapid.
I would do this again but be sure that all in your party are able bodied. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone with bad knees or extremely overweight because there is a lot of getting up and down into tight spaces inside the raft.

Fantastic! Was my first experience white water rafting and there isn’t a better company or guide I could ask for. Throughout the 5 mile journey, our guide Andy provided us with great information about the area’s history while giving us the best opportunities to do neat tricks and get wet! The guides did a great job of assessing each group to give them the best rides. All equipment was thoroughly sanitized upon returning. If you book with them, definitely ask for Andy!!!

The guides made sure everyone enjoyed themselves from start to finish. From the lively way they demonstrated safety procedures, to experiencing 'nose and toes' first hand in the water; every moment was enjoyable. Payth was informative and definitely made us all feel confident in our paddling abilities although I know we all were quite terrible and uncoordinated. I felt totally safe the entire time and would recommend it to anyone trying to have a good time.

So much fun! David did a great job keeping my family safe while showing us a fantastic time on the Ocoee River. I highly recommend using Ocoee Rafting when planning a trip to Cherry Log, Blue Ridge Mountains or anywhere nearby. The staff were funny, informative, professional, and just overall did a great job. They space out the seats in the buses and sanitize the equipment.

Our first white water rafting experience was an absolute blast! Very exciting and safe - our raft's passengers managed to stay in the raft the whole time under Stiles's super guidance, as we navigated waterfalls and rapids. I was pretty nervous ahead of time, but A) Stiles taught us exactly what to do, B) he kept us busy paddling (just a few strokes at a time, but we were actively engaged the whole time), and C) the current and rapids made for an amazing ride. We even got to swim at one mellow part, and to admire the incredible beauty of this area of the USA. The company is super professional and all the guides are hilarious and supportive, but we of course thought Stiles was the best! :)

The best rafting experience that we have had in the Southeast. We did the full day trip. We had a big group, so we had two guides, Alex and Will. They were both excellent!! We would recommend both to anyone that wants to have a great experience whether it is your first time rafting or you are an experienced rafter. Ocoee Rafting was one of the best organizations that we have rafted with.

I went with my kids yesterday and we had the greatest time. Our guide David was super fun and very kind and he easily accommodated everyone's needs. My daughter was especially afraid of helping with the paddles and losing them. We were worried that it would be an issue, but David solved that problem very quickly for us. The ride was very enjoyable and entertaining and definitely left us wanting to go back many more times. I would definitely highly recommend anyone to go rafting with Ocoee Rafting.

Will was an absolute BOSS when it came to navigating the Lower Ocoee yesterday! He and another guide are the most-experienced on the team, with 14 years experience on the Ocoee. My wife and twin sons, along with another couple, were well taken care of. He was able to make us feel safe and, at the same time, even had us doing super fun spins (intentional) at various spots (didn't see any others doing them)! Beforehand, he asked us how thrilling of a ride we were looking for, and nobody wanted it too wild. He gave us exactly what we wanted! And, he's a teacher in his other life...even more impressive! We will request him next time!

Should be in the mid-70s. We’ve been in October before and wore provided wet suits, but you won’t need that this month.
