I have been white water rafting several times and this was probably the best. Some great rapids, level 3-4, lots of excitement and very exhilarating. Our guide Greg was great, he clearly knew the river like the back of his hand, and pulled a bunch of tricks out of his hat. The only suggestion that I would make is to give out masks to people before getting on the bus. A little close for comfort without them. But i will definitely raft with Carolina Occoe again.

This smaller scale (less crowded) rafting company consistently provides the best customer service in my opinion. This was the second time using them & I was not disappointed at all, I will keep coming back because I have no reason to look elsewhere. Our guide Barry was extremely knowledgeable & personable, he ensured that everyone aboard the raft was having fun safely! The main office is very organized & efficient from the reservations to the check in procedure.

This is a two part review because we have been twice in the past 3 weeks. We have been using this company for the past 5 years and I won’t use anyone else. They are the best.
Trip 1 was August 15. Megan was our guide. She had been our guide once last year as well. We did the middle Ocoee trip this time. It had been a stormy week and especially the night before and that morning. So TVA had a tight reign on the water trying to make sure they didn’t release too much/too little due to local flooding. Megan is always so pleasant and fun and she made the trip so enjoyable.
Trip 2, September 5. We decided as an end of the season trip we would do the upper and middle combo trip. We asked Greg to be our guide. He took us last year the first time we did the whole 10 and it was a FABULOUS choice. The water seemed to be up and flowing a little more aggressively than I had seen it in the past. Since everyone in our group were a little more experienced we were less anxious and nervous than if we had any newbies with us. Greg is a great guide and really knows the water and currents. And he’s got a great sense of humor and made it fun. We took a very direct and head-on approach into every rapid and added some spins and surfing in some of the bigger and better spots. No taking the easy route yesterday. We loved it! When we got done we really felt like we had been on an adventure. We cannot wait for the upper to re-open next year so we can do it again.

Such an awesome trip!! If you are looking for quality, friendliness and a safe wild ride, you cant beat Carolina Ocoee. Our guide was Megan and we HIGHLY recommend her as your guide. She made our trip super fun and knew just how to tackle the rapids so that you definitely get soaked. Very knowledgeable and experienced guide! Here's a few tips we picked up:
*If you want to get super soaked and have front action, ride in the front
* If you want to stay dry(er) sit nearer to the back
*Work together with paddling...watch the person next to you and make sure you are both rowing on her count.
*Definitely take advantage of the swimming area during the trip, it cools you off and is just super relaxing to just float on your back downstream.
*whoever your guide is, if you really want to get soaked, ask them if they can "surf" the boat...its really fun!
Overall, would definitely go with them again!!

All Employees were friendly from booking, raft guides and the gift shop. The guides on the rafts kept us laughing , enjoying the adventure and feeling safe. This company is what it is all about -that family feel - 100%! We had a blast- thank you!!

My family and I saved this for the final day of vacation and what a great way to finish up. We had done the Nanthala earlier in the week and were slightly disappointed on how calm it was (good for small children). This was a totally different experience. Class 3's and 4's all the way. Glad we picked Carolina for our trip. This is a smaller outfit and they seemed to take their time on the river They did their best to take precautions all though the bus was a little full for my taste. However everyone was wearing masks. Our guide Patrick was a blast. He has been doing this for 8 years and you could tell. He told us about the history of the river and the rapids and how they got their names. He kept us entertained between rapids and has a ton of bad jokes as well. Only wish we could have done the upper part of the river as well. They also had super reasonable prices. we will be back.

From "Welcome" to "See you next time" Carolina Ocoee staff were personable and professional. Management appreciates your business and the guides are entertaining and informational, operating with safety first procedures from put-in to take-out. The three guides on my trip each managed their own raft, but also backed one another up and supported each other. Travis' experience and knowledge of the river made the trip even more enjoyable than expected. I will definitely return to Carolina Ocoee.

The story of the trip was Paul, the man, the myth, the legend. Truly, our experience on the river was transcendent due to the gifted talents of our guide. Paul kept us soaked, smiling, safe and satisfied for five straight hours. We were ready to go again the second it ended. I cannot recommend this company, and Paul specifically, highly enough.

Enjoyed our experience rafting with Paul "PB". He was knowledgeable about the river and made us feel safe. He showed us how to surf some of the rapids which was incredible and took us on several spinning excursions making sure everyone got a front row seat crashing into the rapids. Thanks Carolina and PB for a great trip!

Better than a day on the Beach Anywhere. If you Ain't Smiling, you're holding your breath for the next Rapid. All of the Guides were Great and will keep you safe! Every Rafting Team on the Ocoee looks out for each other no matter who you choose, but Carolina was the closest to our Hotel and the TN / Georgia Line. We Lucked up and got Greg. You will learn a lot from this Man. We are going back soon this Summer and every year here after. Thank You Carolina Ocoee and your Team. Ya'll Rock!
