We had a fantastic day with Wildwater Rafting. We chose to do the middle section of Ocoee, mainly class 3 and 4 rapids. In our group of 8 we had a couple people who had a good deal of trepidation about getting out on the river. The team at Wildwater spoke to them to explain the safety measures and make them feel as comfortable as possible. Our guide was Ryan (21 years as a guide) and he did a great job leading us down the river and making everyone feel both engaged and safe (not an easy feat). Our trip went off without a flaw and we truly appreciate the service we received at each part of the process. Highly recommended!

We chose Wildwater Rafting because of its good ratings and that it was close to Blue Ridge, GA where we were staying and we’re glad we did. The reservations were easy to book on line along with all the necessary paperwork the night before our trip. The facility was so clean, the process was organized and everyone was friendly and helpful. Ryan was our guide and was fun but informative with lots of river stories to treat us with. It was a great experience and we would recommend Wildwater Rafting to everyone.

We loved the Ocoee combo that we did this weekend with 9 friends. We were split into two rafts with strangers, but I think if we had 10, we would have been able to split into 2 rafts without strangers. Loved our guide Ryan and he made sure we had a great time! We were kinda bummed that the cameras malfunction when we had some pretty epic pics at the Olympic section, but other than that all pics turned out great! Highly recommend doing the combo and not just one portion of the Ocoee- it would be too short just do to one!

The Wild Water Ocoee staff are Amazing. Everyone was helpful and friendly. My tour guild who came highly recommended was Awesome. Ryan was one of the best tour guilds I have ever had in my entire life. From start to finish, he was a true professional that made me feel safe while navigating some of the most difficult rapids . During the trip I learned all about the history of The Ocoee River and the surrounding areas, while getting inside tips how to navigate the white waters safely and most efficiently. He even took the time after an all day trip to help me plan follow on trip to The Chattooga River in South Carolina. Wonderful Trip, Great Staff, I would highly recommend Wild Water Ocoee and Wild Water Chattooga to anyone looking for an Amazing adventure. I'm looking forward to future trips!

I traveled to the Ducktown, TN, area with my wife and 2 other couples for a weeklong vacation. We really wanted to do some white water rafting, and after hours of internet research we decided to book with Wildwater Rafting. I couldn’t be happier with our decision!!! We reserved a private boat for our group 2 weeks ahead of time, and we were lucky enough to get Grant as a guide. There were a couple non-swimmers in our group, and he made them feel very comfortable the entire time. The 5 mile segment of the Middle Ocoee River took about 2 hours to complete, and we got a good taste of some Category 3 and 4 rapids. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking with Wildwater Rafting, and make sure to ask for GRANT! He’s getting married soon and is shipping off for grad school, so book him now while you still can! Thanks again, Wildwater Rafting!!

My husband and I were looking for something to do on our 10 year anniversary, something we could do but the kids couldn’t so we didn’t feel bad for not taking them. Whitewater rafting at Ocoee was the best! It was fun & exciting and our guide, Grant, kept the excitement coming! He would prepare us for what was ahead and then offer to make it more exciting by ‘surfing’ or ‘spinning’. He definitely won us over and we want to go back again! Wildwater did there best to accommodate during COVID so we couldn’t enjoy the fun lunch but they still provided a bag lunch and the showers/changing areas were clean and well kept. Will be back!

Ocoee Whitewater Rafting is an amazing experience! All of the staff we encountered were friendly, efficient, professional, and personable. Seabolt was an excellent and super talented guide. Every "Ocoee" boat guide watched out for each other and co-existed on the river like a symphony. Thank you all for making our family and friend's summer vacation the best every. We can't wait until next year!

Our group of six (ages 30's to 70's) had a great trip with Kevin on both the Upper & Middle sections of the the Ocoee on Saturday. He was not only lots of fun, but also very safety conscious. Thanks for a wonderful time. We will definitely be back!

We had a great trip with our experienced Pro Guide, Ryan Henkel. He knew the river so well and took great approaches to each set of rapids. While other outfitters and guides had rafts occasionally hung up on rocks, Ryan kept us moving and having fun the whole time. He would have approach a section backwards, or take us through a section of rapids while maneuvering the raft in a 360. He also knew all about the hostry of the river and the area. Having a guide who knows the water so well made this a wonderful experience.

I do not want to take away from our awesome guide Jon who was quite skilled and made it a fun experience for our party of seven that consisted of four adults and three teenagers. Thank you Jon!
My rating is based on what I can only describe as covert racism by the manager on duty at Wildwater. I initially took the sarcastic comment that members in my party could not spell their names as poor humor but he continued with "do they know their address?" in a condescending manner with a smirk on his face. I was also inquiring with a different employee on a credit for one of our party as she could no longer attend due to illness when he butted in with a rough, resounding and abrupt "NO!" (Ultimately, the one ticket was eventually refunded as they had no zipline availability that it could be applied to.) The "manager" was totally unpleasant. His behavior was observed by members of his own staff, one of whom spoke to him to tone it down to which he responded "Old habits are hard to break." We were truly enjoying our stay and the hospitality of the beautiful people in the Blue Ridge area until coming across his attitude. This is my family's fourth time on the Ocoee but our first and absolutely last time with Wildwater. I can only surmise the "old habits that are hard to break" relate only to our brown skinned family. This is so disappointing that this attitude still prevails today.

What is an appropriate tip per person for this trip?

I usually give at least 20% of the cost, but if your guide was excellent, you can give more. Think of it as paying for the use of equipment to the company and then paying your guide for his/ her expertise.
Hi, there. Just wanting to know more about the rafting experience. I may go this weekend with family, but I cannot swim. I am even afraid to get my face under water. Was there any point that you were afraid that you would fall out of the raft? Any huge dropoffs? Do you know what class your trip was? Family is taking level 3-4. Thanks in advance for your help! 10% chance to fall out. While swimming ability is not a big deal, being comfortable in and around water is. Great time if you are ready for a challenge and to get wet. The Nantahala River or Section III of the Chattooga River might be better for a first time experience.

Are there 2 or 3 phases of the Ocoee River to whitewater raft on?

Two Rafting Sections, The Upper Ocoee runs on weekends and the Middle Ocoee that runs five days per week. The Upper and Middle can be combined with lunch on the weekend to get 10 miles of rafting.
