Greens were very fast and uneven. Wet and held foot prints and were almost impossible to putt. Fairways were very wet and juicy and it had been a week since rain. Ruff was 5 to 7 inches tall and you had to be right over...More

Travelled 2 hours to play in a scramble with friends. It took 6 hours for all groups to finish, mostly due to poor conditions. After 15 holes the "ranger" finally drove by to say carts should be observing 90-degree rule. Course was already wet, so...More

Bear Trace gets three stars simply because of the layout and my group has fond memories of playing here years ago when the course was relatively new. The course is not being maintained well. This is a prime example of simply to many golf courses...More

The fairways are very POOR. Barely no grass on the fairways, more dirt the grass. The Greens are also very poor. They look like they have been sprayed with green coloring to make them look good. All around I would never play there if I...More

Staff was great, especially Denny the starter and Mary at the front desk. Very friendly and extremely helpful. Several very fun holes but hit them straight, a lot of places to lose your ball on miss hits. Nice course shame fellow golfers don’t repair divots...More

My husband and I are average golfers, and found this course to be fun, beautiful and challenging. This Jack Nicklaus designed course is never boring, no two holes are alike. The staff is very friendly too,

I played this course when it opened and about 5 years ago, terrible shape, sand traps are disasters, they gave up on them, stairs rotting out, general disrepair all over the course, just sad to think of what it use to be, very sad.

Going to Play a Nicklaus designed course, in a golfing community area, I was expecting something special. Instead we arrived and played a beautiful but averagely maintained course. The course was not cut properly at the time we went. The sand traps looked horrible with...More

This is a state run course, so I pleasantly surprised with the condition of it. The course is not too tight and is quiet challenging. It allows some room for error but makes you think about each shot. Course had a cart path only rule...More
