Wildwood Stables is located at Fairfield Glade Golf Resort. The trails are excellent and the scenery is beautiful. Highly recommend this trail. They also have hayrides with excellent food and a play area for kids. It is perfect for families. There is an amazing 200 year old sycamore tree! The tree is recognized by the Urban Forestry Council in Nashville, TN on October 5, 2012, as a Landmark and Historic Tree. It was planted in 1864 by Hugh Center. The homestead was located along Walton Road which carried travelers across the state. Many famous people stopped by the Center home. The site was also had a school house/chapel and was the hub of activity in the area. The tree stands 94 ft. tall and is 16 ft. in circumference, with a crown spread of 165 ft. The tree is a wonderful place to marry with couples pledging their eternal love. Prayers said under the tree is believed to go straight to heaven. The TUFC has recognized 32 landmark, historic and heritage trees across the state to date. Wildwood Stable is also a stop on the Upper Cumberland Quilt Trail. The pattern chosen is called "Crossed Roads" which is significent to the heritage of the area and Tennessee.

When they visit Fairfield Glade - they always ask to do a horse trail ride @ Wildwood Stables. Definitely wear jeans, sunscreen & bug spray. Usually they have a private ride, but being that it was 4th of July weekend - it was a larger group. As always they had a great time1

My girls loved Wildwood stables. They both said it was there favorite part of vacation. It was a decent length and reasonably priced. My only negative was when we arrived they said we were to make reservations ahead of time but their fliers we received didn't include any such information. The staff were all friendly and the horses were great!

151 year old sycamore tree was a surprise attraction! Very cool and large! Owners and employees were just good people - American small business at it's best!!!

Our tour guide, Laurie, promised the best trail in the area, and we had a good ole time with our horses-Wrangler, Lil Joe, Whiskey, and Dakota. The trail took us through a rocky stretch, into the wooded forest, adjacent to a running stream, and past the most difficult hole on a neighboring golf course. We even got to let the... More

I took my grandchildren for the hayride and fire with smores! They loved it. You also can take your own hot dogs to roast as well. They also have horse rides at a reduced price on that night which they just loved!!!

The last time I sat on a horse was over 25 years ago, and I remembered that it was rough then. So, my expectations were rather low, and I felt like a newbie. But it made my girl-friend's day, so I agreed to doing this. I rode Dakota, and our guide was Kayla (she might spell her name differently). The... More

We did the wagon ride and pony ride experience with our 3 and 6 year old. The staff was super friendly and dedicated to providing a great experience. They were very attentive to the little ones and provided a great memory for the family.

The staff and guides were super friendly. I enjoyed the trail and I look forward to taking taking a long ride the next time I'm back in Crossville. Don't mode the dogs, they're friendly too ;)

My wife and I went on the 90 minute ride, along with our 10 year old granddaughter. We all agreed this was among the best trail rides we have experienced. The staff were all great. The trail and the scenery compares well with trails in Colorado. We especially appreciated Mrs Judy as a guide - she was extremely competent, and... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know you enjoyed our trail ride. We are truly blessed to have Miss Judy, who is the heart of our operation. We see many people every year, but there is always someone that truly touches us. Your granddaughter is a delightful young lady. She has such a presence, poised... More
