Bartender was SO rude. Said he couldn’t serve me a flight because all flights were being used. That’s understandable. But then when I saw that empty flights had been returned and I tried again to order one he once again rudely said no and told me that flights had been cut off for the day. He was so lazy that he didn’t want to wash the glasses so he cut off flights (and lost our business forever) at 3:00 in the afternoon. The owner needs to know that this is happening.

Hi Shonda,
I am sorry you had such a bad experience. We talked to the bar staff and general manager. We've ordered more flight trays for the future. After talking with the the general manager, we found the crux of the issue was that the time it takes to pour a flight when we are busy detracts from our ability to serve all of our customers equally. We've since updated our policy and no longer offer beer flights during peak hours. Thank you for brining this issue to our attention and we hope you have a better experience next time if you choose to give us another chance.

We are craft beer enthusiasts and make every effort to visit as many as we can. We returned to Hix Farm Brewery and found the beer offerings to be tasty and diverse. I had a flight, then switched over to a sour, and all were good. Give this place a try.

Quick stop. Tried two beers. Both were really great. Only had four of their beers that day but lots of other local options. Cozy vibe inside. Could’ve stayed longer if we’d had more time. Will be back!

When you first drive up it looks like an old farmers supply building or feedlot but redone with a respect for the past. As you go in you realize it is a brewery and you are greeted warmly. The staff is more than happy to talk about the building, the beers, and the process. They serve flights and each beer has their own distinct flavors yet you can tell they are crafted with respect for the flavors they intended as well as for where the flavors wanted to go. They may not have a lot of different beers but what they do have they put love into.

We stopped here and Zach was our brew server~ for one thing he is awesome~ I had the cherry on my wayward stout and Hunny had cropduster ipa~ Zach shared his warm yummy donuts with us from across the street ~

We loved this stop. Very friendly bartender, patrons were also so friendly -- one Joe even went across the street and got Ralph's donuts for all of us to try. We had a great time with everyone. The beers were very good --- some of the best we have had lately. The coffee stout has so much flavor and is thick and really great. The ESB was also very good. We wished we were going to be in the area on Saturday when they introduce the coffee stout with fall spices -- I bet it will be over the top great. Only thing my husband didn't like was the barstools -- he is a bigger man and they were not comfortable for him. They were fine for me. Would recommend this brewery.

I sampled all their beer offerings, was not WOW ed, I got a growler to go, was $20+, kinda high I though, but did it anyways, got home and it was full of yeast. it was the bottom of the keg. not the best experience.

Hi Henry,
I know this review is long out dated and I apologize for not responding sooner. I hope you have since returned to Hix Farm Brewery and tried our new beers. We've undergone a transformation of sorts in the last year and we'd love to have you back to try our new and improved beers and vibe.

Because of this sites reviews I stopped in. I had a wonderful time. Zach made me feel welcome. I had fun chatting with him and the customers. The beer I tasted was very good and very creative. I’ll be back.

Apparently I've learned never to say never because these to the the gentleman that Brewers the beer turn me to beer and apparently I'm a dark Beer Drinker that I have never drank beer ever ever ever these guys are amazing and their beer taste great and it's just awesome to have it's a great atmosphere the place looks amazing it's clean and it's right next to a donut donut place I don't know I'm not a sweet person but it's great food great atmosphere and they don't speak at you they don't talk down to you they talk to you and I highly recommend this place it's an awesome location and it's there they are super cool so come down and try it out guy and girls my husband and I came down and it was awesome

My husband loves beer he loves blonde beer and Fernando which is my partner and husband he has never tried beer ever these two guys have him try the coffee and another dark beer and they for his first time loved it he has never tried beer ever these guys were amazing they weren't pushing the beer on them but these gentlemen show them if they are next to a famous donut shop and I highly suggest they have their Brewery it just started up I highly suggest this place awesome awesome place to go to we are longtime now fans of it and customers
