Our friends recommended this establishment before dinner. I tried the four smaller sizes beers so I could figure which I liked better. The barmaid was very knowledgeable and seemed interested in answering my questions. Great atmosphere and prices were good.

We took a walk downtown our first night in town. It was after most of the shops had closed and we decided to adventure off the main street in downtown. He happened upon this gem of a brewery! We walked in and noticed several customers drinking beer and eating popcorn, nachos, and some had even brought food from other eateries or from their home. We sat at the bar and were reviewing the menu when a man offered to help us out. He introduced himself as the brewer and was very detailed in his description of the various beers they offer. We did a flight and really enjoyed everything we sampled. There was also a young kid playing guitar and singing during our visit and he was really good! There was definitely a family feel to this place. We spoke to some of the other customers who were so friendly and helpful in their recommendations of how we should spend our next day exploring the area. It would have been nice to return the next night but we were exhausted from our day. I hope to return on our next trip to TN.

The beer is the star of the show here and that's how it should be. Great place to hang out and actually have a conversation with your friends while enjoying some truly excellent brews. Try them all, it's hard to go wrong.
I applaud the owners for their tremendous efforts in opening the first micro-brewery in Cookeville. Well done.

Getting a little frustrated with management of this place! Using misleading advertising like $1 drafts, then after a few, finding they meant $1 off a draft. Noticed all history of this offer on FB was deleted. This happened the day of opening of a competitor's brewpub! Very bad customer service. Customer is always wrong here!

This is a great place, packed with freindly Tennessee citizens and hosting world class live music.
The band was Indus. Standing room only from start to finish. No cover, excellent beer, from what I heard. No food but you can order in from several nearby eateries.
Took a tour of the brewery, which you can see from the main room. Fascinating.
They do have popcorn. I has a little bite to it... maybe to encourage beer consumption.

I loved this place!!! They had great music playing!! Everyone was super nice and most of all... delicious beer. We started with a flight of beers where a local bought for us (thank you she was a local coming in to get her growler filled...please someone tell her thank you we were the Gator fans.). I ended up getting the Trans-porter which was amazing had a hint of coffee taste. I wish I lived there to go more. I hope locals realize what a great little place y’all have.

I've heard it stated lately that Cookeville, Tennessee is being called "West Asheville". We continue to grow more charming with age as we embrace world-culture, the arts and higher education. Lately Cookeville has added to its many local flavors a few new local breweries. Red Silo was one of the first to open and trust me it is one-of-a-kind. With a large selection of brews created and named by the three owners and their families, you won't want to miss this attraction if you are a beer connoisseur. Located in the historic downtown Cookeville district, this attraction has a large fire-engine red silo poised proudly to the left of the entrance. There is an old garage door that is often open-air during pretty and optimal weather. You can also tour the brewing area in the back and often talk to the Brew Master. Red Silo beer also continues to grow in its distribution. My favorite choice is the Skinny Bikini Pale Ale as I am a citrus flavored, light-beer drinker. My Dave's absolute favorite is the Peanut Butter stout. Currently there isn't a food menu. But they often have popcorn or other snack-'ums. World Foods, right up the street, will deliver pizza there though. I highly recommend World Foods as well. Thumbs up for the Red Silo, Cookeville, TN! Go TTU!

Friends wanted to go here. Just brews (I don't drink beer) and no food except popcorn.. Menus on the tables of surrounding restaurants. We finally decided we needed to go to a restaurant to order supper, but no way to take our drinks. No music & it was getting crowded. Maybe the young folks enjoy it more. No parking except on street. Historic area. Food truck parked outside. Sat. night.

Thanks for your recent review. To answer questions... we are a brewery not a restaurant, we have menus on the tables from restaurants because they deliver over where you can eat at the brewery. We have music 3 days a week, starting at 8pm. We are in a downtown area where there is free parking in a parking lot half a block away. You can’t take your alcoholic beverages on the street the city of cookeville has no open container law. We feel as though your review isn’t fare because you are not a beer drinker. Why go to a brewery if you don’t like beer and give them a poor rating? Makes no sense to me.

Every time we go to Cookeville , we make a stop here. My fave beer is the farmer' s daughter. Great live music. Fun place and fun tshirts. Owners are friendly and enjoy the crowd. I believe they are expanding the building soon so that would be great to revisit and see. Follow them on Instagram.

The Red Silo offered a wide variety of in-house brews. Each sample I tasted was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. Try a flight of four; you simply pick the ones you'd like to sample, and the staff will have it to you in a few minutes. Be warned; there's no food served here, but you can bring it in from elsewhere.
