If you want a walk in the nature, this is perfect. Not too long, with shadow and sun. The walk path is gravely. Also great for dogs. Sometimes over the weekend more crowds, but not a problem. There is also a big parking lot.

I live nearby and I remember the valley as it used to be before the construction of the dam: forgotten from civilization, rarely visited by humans, a really peacefull and unspoiled place - a kind of micro-paradise. However, then they built a highway and a dam and now there is a like. Quite a beautiful one and therefore quite visited too. On a sunny springtime weekend there will be hundred cars and more parked on the parking place and along the road leading to it. Among all those visitors there are always some that do not know that garbage does not belong in nature. However, the majority of visitors knows how to behave and the situation is far from being critical. And what can visitors do here? Walk or run the dirt road around the lake (a bit more than 4 km). The road may be a bit muddy after a havy rain when the lake floods it at certain places.Generally it is very well maintained and you can walk it in any kind shoes for sandy surface. The road is partly going on the plain and partly goes up and down, but do not worry, you won't ascend and descent more than 40 meters alltogethe. Also there are only two sections of the road that are a bit steeper. There is also some outdoor fitness equipment along the road usually used by women or children, men are obviously too lazy or too proud to use it. If you are on a bike trip in the vicinity (trekking or mountain bike) you have to go around the lake at least one time, but better do it when there are not too many visitors. You can also admire swans, ducks, grebes and even kingfishers if you are a good observer. Some prefer underwater wildlife and they can go fishing (bottom fishing, float fishing, spin fishing). Of course for fishing one needs to buy a licence. Others prefer to be on the lake either stand up paddle boarding or rowing in a kayak. Every now and then there is also a real sailing regatta on the lake. Those with inflatable boards should take some care in the middle of the lake where the former creek crossed the valley and there are still branches of the sinked trees - some looking out of the water and some are just under the water surface. There are also some fallen trees along the coast with similar underwater "traps" so it is good to go around a couple of times and check what you can expect at certain points. I ususually do not pass the belt of underwater trees and only circle in the northern part of the lake that is also deeper. The lake is beautiful in all seasons and in any weather. If you like to enjoy the nature and you do not mind enjoying with others, than this is one of the places you can visit. Just do that with respect for others and for nature as well.
