We made a turn after visiting Raccoon Mountain Cave when we saw the sign. We're very happy we made it. The route is on paved the mountain road which offers top view, dam view, visit center for the TVA water system. Nice drive!

We happened upon this place by word-of-mouth at a breakfast venue. We were headed someplace completely different what a great place to take ride and or walk. Although it was very chilly this morning we stayed in the car and just viewed the sites

This is a nice winding mountain road trip to great views Nickajack Lake and the ridges. The drive around the lake at the top of the mountain that is used as a holding tank for the power plan is beautiful. History at the visitor center is fascinating. Unfortunately the elevator down into the power plant has long since been closed.

We were trying to get to a different location near Chattanooga, but it was closed due to a hunt so we couldn’t get to the overlook/view. Luckily, a quick google search saved our plans and stumbled is upon this wonderful place. It is truly unique and beautiful. We were so happy to get there and drive through to see the water, mountains, lots of people bike riding, and overall just a great environment. We didn’t make it in time to get inside the visitor center, but the views from there are spectacular. It’s also cool to read all the history, signs, and see the dam itself. I highly recommend driving through here if you never have before and make sure to checkout the view at the visitor center.
