Great view of Hydro Pump Station Lake and wonderful bike trails. If possible, take a tour of the hydro pump station buried deep within mountain. If you are technically incline or an engineer, you will love this tour. Equal to touring Hoover Dam.

We biked across the one lane loop across reservoir, nice area to ride, minimal traffic, beautiful scenery. There are also numerous off road biking trails of different skill levels. We hiked some of the trails vs mountain biking and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous. Also...More

It's quite a drive to get to the top, but it's worth the effort. The views here are amazing. The visitor's center has displays about how they use the water at the top of the mountain to generate electricity. The facility is staffed by very...More

The Visitor Center is good place to start. The staff were so helpful and provided hiking maps. There are a lot of trails and both of our grand children ages 4 and 14 enjoyed hiking 2.5 miles through the woods. My only complaint is the...More

I took my son on a day trip. We packed a cooler full of water and other stuff and enjoyed a hike down to the waterfalls after visiting the visitor center.

My daughter and I actually got to take TVA’s “Built for the People” tour of TVA’s Raccoon Mountain pumped storage facility. It was terrific. If you get the chance to go, by all means, do so. The manager told us about the park on top...More

It’s true. But I would touch base with TVA. I am told they are sympathetic to student groups. I toured it as part of the special “Built for the People” tour.

I believe it is a hydro power reservoir and so they do not want fish in the water. The sides of the reservoir are steep and lined with rock. It would be hard to stand there to fish.
