We arrived at The Visitor Center on one of the free shuttles offered by the city. As we got off the shuttle our two ambassadors, Jerry and Bob, welcomed us and asked if they could help us in any way. Bob and my husband immediately...More
You can't get better than Ozzie, John and Jerry!! We were greeted like we were family. They were respectful of our short time in the area and suggested places we should see and experience...even places to sit and rest a spell. While everyone else seemed...More

Great help and quite charming!! We only had one day in town and they got us to lookout mountain, to the river district and to the aquarium. Even got fireworks downtown after the baseball game! All in 1 day!

A cooler time of year, dress appropriately in layers so you can add and remove. The visitors center is a great place to start as information, maps, advice are all free. Don’t forget it’s also a starting point for the free trolley that goes around downtown that you can hop on and off. If you are a member of AAA, they may have special ticket discounts.
The Aquarium is wonderful but can take a while, may want to do a building, have lunch and then return. Ruby Falls is really good as long as you are happy underground. Enjoy!!
