See them at the Tivoli Theater. They also perform at the VW plant off Bonney Oaks Drive, but that's not a great performance space to hear a symphony orchestra. Constrained by their current conductor, whose gestures are difficult to follow, so the members are on...More

I have seen and heard The Detroit Symphony Orchestra and although larger they are no better than the CSO. We are blessed to have the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra!

Chattanooga is a smaller but scenic city with history, outdoor activities, revitalized downtown with beautiful water front AND an excellent symphony.

And that's exactly my favorite thing about this location. It has that old timey feel to it. Have been here on a few occasions - for a ballet, and the symphony orchestra and enjoy coming here all the time. It's small enough where you'll get...More

The Tivoli Theatre, where the symphony played, was amazing - full of historical charm with large staircases, ornate ceilings, and ultimately a good view no matter where you sat. We were in the upper balcony - the farthest back you can get - and we...More

Instead of buying a Christmas present that would just sit around gathering dust, we purchased tickets for my parents and my hubby and I to see a show. Was a great time and parents loved it.

The Tivoli is a wonderful old, restored theater and adds ambiance to the overall musical experience. We live out of town and don't go as often as we would wish. We enjoy the traditioal as well as nontraditioal performances!

What can I say. The symphony is probably one of the best for this size town in the United States. The City of Chattanooga rents the Tivoli to the symphony. The sound and acoustics are outstanding. The ticket prices are very reasonable.
