"Museum" is a very strong word. Only a few train cars to see from the outside. Maybe great for small kids but not very thrilling for adults. We skipped the train ride once we saw what it was.

Riding the train was just an ok excursion. I think young children would LOVE riding the train...my 12 yr old not so much. It was an experience and we are glad we did it but it was a little costly for such a short ride.

We took the 'local' route. It takes about 15 minutes to get to their terminal where they show you how the turn the locomotive around on the turntable and then show you their workshop area. I thought it was a cute touch that the guides...More

The entire ride is about and hour and a half. It is informative and watching the engine on the turntable was awesome. You get an informative tour of a railroad yard. Check activities for the time of year you are going, as there are different...More

The narrative of the history of the train was very interesting. The train ride to the where the trains are renovated was shorter than I expected. The 1 hour train ride included about 15 minutes to the maintenance barn, 15 minutes seeing how the train...More

We took the hour trip to Missionary Ridge. It is very authentic, with the conductor even punching your ticket. Watching and learning about the turntable was amazing! I think it is reasonably priced. They do have other train cars you can look in but they...More

Conveniently located from all points of the Chattanooga area. Recommend the Chickamauga excursion with an upgrade to the better seating area.

I'd say it would be a bucket list item for anybody visiting the Chattanooga town. The one hour excursion is very well narrated and gives a person a good overview of the area back then and of course now. The seats are very comfortable and...More

Two adults, a 6 y/o boy, and a 3 y/o boy. Looking for opinions between Bunny Train (2-hour trip on Saturday or Sunday), Dinner on the Diner (Saturday night), or the Missionary Ridge Local (1-hour trip on Monday or Tuesday morning)? We will be there in April. Thanks.
