expensive way to spend the night but if you REALLY love trains you'll enjoy the Pullman cars made into two suites. each suite has a/c. restraint in main hotel. cost is very pricey but again if you really love trains and are in town why not? the engine itself is a nice photo opportunity but you can't get into its... We thought the visit to the Choo Choo would have been the highlight of our stay in Chattanooga but we were somewhat disappointed as, although the engine was in fine condition, the carriages needed some TLC. The station terminal, which is now a hotel, was also in need of refurbishment and didn't appeal to us as somewhere we would want... More

We went with our grandchildren and their parents and enjoyed the time we spent there one afternoon. We went for the skating and everyone who skated enjoyed it but the ice was not in the best shape and the skates are not great for ankle support like my husband is used too in Canada. Everyone on the rink was courteous... More

This place is one the most famous place in Chattanooga, but I must said I was very disappointed, the place is falling apart and the hotel is very old and dated. As you walk into the lobby the smell is awful even my son who loves trains could not stand it. We visited the place but did not stay here,... More

This was a must see for our family of railfans. The hotel lobby is in the old train station and is a sight to see. The Chatanooga Choo Choo is a static display surrounded by train cars that have been restored and are used for rooms at the hotel. There used to be shops and things to see in the... More

The hotel is grand and the private rail cars are a site to see. there are many shops to browse and buy gifts. The restaurant is elegant and the food is out of this world and the prices are not outrageous for the the ambiance and delightful dinning experience here.

I was expecting something a little more interactive, I guess, but the decorations are pretty and it was interesting to see the trains up close

The train is well restored and the cars are the hotel. We had a nice gentleman who was cleaning up one of the cars for arriving guests who let us take a peek in! It is very cool inside and we are already planning a stay here for our next visit to Chattanooga! the main building is neat and there... More

This year we spent an evening at the Choo Choo watching the ice skaters, looking at the Christmas decorations and the food. You could eat on an old railroad car or from the dinning room in the main station. The station itself is an interesting historical time piece with a beautiful dome ceiling.
