The place has an awesome view. Very popular attractions. Watch the crowed though. It has many nearby attractions including Ruby falls.

We wandered around the top of the Mountain, but most everything was closed because the Federal Government shut down. The Point Park and Incline were both closed. But it was still a pleasant time up there.

Nice place to see and take in the sights. Some paths are very narrow so be prepared. The views are outstanding. Take a good pair of binoculars to see the overlook. If you have kids...strollers are not allowed so either carry or they must walk.

The Tennessee Aquarium is one of the best attractions in Chattanooga. Even if you’ve been before, they are always adding and changing the exhibits. The penguins are a big hit! Try a backstage tour for an even greater experience.

Our family loves coming to Lookout Mountain when we visit Chattanooga. Most people associate this place with Rock City (which is great) but there is much more. The mountain played a major role in the Civil War and there are several places where you can...More

This is a great place to visit with the family. Hanging bridges, breath taking views of 7 states, gnomes, naturally form rock alleys hard to get through, and much more.

Traveled here with a family of four, which includes two adults, a six-year-old, and a nine-year-old. There are plenty of places to pull to the side and look. The travel up the mountain is not too bad. Nice over and look at the top, and...More

Lookout mountain is a beautiful area. I believe you have to pay for the entrance to Rock City to be able to take in the whole 7 state view. The rock city attraction was pretty cool and my teenager kids even enjoyed it.

The park at the top was closed (government shutdown) when we were there, but the ride up was available--at full price. The waits were very long (2 hours or more) for the railway, with no place to sit or rest at all. Go during a...More

It’s a very nice area, probably better in the spring or summer. But we did enjoy it and recommend the visit.

'm not sure about pets, but I do have a hang gliding ticket I'd like to sell. It's transferrable. Our flight was cancelled four times and we finally ran out of days. Paid $120 and will sell for $90.

You can honestly do either one first, and no the railway is not the only way. You can drive as well which is faster actually. There are three trails to the top! Kind of hard, medium and handicap. There is a wooden bridge for... More

When you leave the Incline Railway Pkg lot take a right and go to the next stop light. You will see a sign to bear off to the right and follow the signs taking you up the mountain.
