Our family (including two teenagers & a 60+) had a great time on this tour. It’s an easy walk with just a few steep/slick places, so make sure to wear shoes with a sturdy tread. The staff were kind, knowledgeable and entertaining.

Very nice cave with a very interesting layout. The caverns had passageway that was not like a underground river bed but had turns ... It seems like we were walking on runoff that covered the cave floor so the ceiling was about 15 ft above.. Very Cool... I have never experienced a cave that fluctuated temperature. This crazy hole has wind at times. I saw a picture of a ice sickle that formed inside the cave... That is not normal... We really enjoyed the tour...

Bigger than the other two caverns I have been to. Guide Greg took the the time to show us all the neat formations in the caverns and answer all our questions.

If you’re looking for a cavern to visit while you’re in the Bristol area - this is the one!!! We were between 3 of them, and ultimately decided on Appalachian Caverns - and we are SO glad we did! From the moment we parked, all the way to the moment we left - we had an incredible experience. We had planned on spending about an hour, hour and a half there - but we had so much fun, the time flew and we were there for almost 4 hours!! Our tour guide, Greg, was absolutely phenomenal. Full of knowledge and quick witted - his sense of humor was perfectly matched with ours. And the owner was just as awesome - and extremely gracious. We can’t recommend this experience enough - we even purchased a gem mining bag at the end, and ended up with SO many gems/fossils/rocks! Our 4 year old is still talking about this place ♥️ The store is FILLED with any stone or gem or rock you could think of!! And the prices are the lowest we’ve seen! We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area - thanks guys 🥰

Very interesting geological evidence of a raging prehistoric river that ran through the earth. The condition of the cave is pristine, and they are currently in the process of adding more lights to show highlights. Tours are available for people who want to crawl through smaller spaces… they have a really nice little gift shop with a lot of stones, too. Our guide was really excellent and it was a very enjoyable hour. My friend & I were fascinated and impressed and highly recommend this experience.
