You have to pay to enter the area but it is worth the $6. Picnic areas, beaches, boat ramps trails, cabins. Lots of parking at boat ramps. Great place to camp and have a fun weekend.

Used the bike trails and most are very good but watch coming down the hill from yankton needs lots of repair. Beaches were clean and nice and the camping areas were nice and clean.

We toured the entire recreation area and were impressed by the variety of activities available. Having a boat is essential to many of them but there were plenty of land based recreational opportunities as well.
