This historical Governors Home is well kept, full of history, and worth the tour. The view is beautiful to the lake and the Historical Society gives you so much information, it leaves you in awe! Great learning for the whole family!

Beautifully restored Italianate home of SD first governor. Many of the furnishings belonged to the Mellettes. Very knowledgable guide. Have known about the house for years and definitely glad I finally visited.
