My friend and I decided to go snorkeling with whale sharks. I enjoy snorkeling greatly and I do a lot of reef and coral snorkeling. This was going to be my first Adventure in Open Water. Are Transportation picked us up promptly and drove us to the dock. There, we had a smooth

This is a must see park. The island is pristine and the wildlife abundant. Willy and the boys were fantastic guides. They care about the preservation of the park and had a keen knowledge of the area. Also lunch was fantastic!

We were looking forward to a day of snorkeling, exploring Isla Contoy and later Isla Mujeres. First clue was that drinks were served right away. Thought this was strange, as they weren't going to serve until after snorkeling. Guess what? No snorkeling. We weren't told there

Dear Dana, First of all let us thank you for taking the time on writing this review, in Contoy Adventures we take into consideration all of our customer's opinions to improve our service! This been said, we are sad that our Eco-Adventure didn't meet your expectations, our Contoy tour is considered, after 9 years, the best Contoy tour, everything has an explanation that has to do with our customer's safety which is one of our most important concerns. We are in constant communication with the Port Authorities that are the ones monitoring all conditions that can affect our tour, in this case, the snorkeling event was determined to be risky because of wind conditions, wind is a relevant factor in this tour because it affects the ocean's surface, if we didn't do the snorkeling at the reef it was because we can't allow putting our visitors at risk. Contoy has, in fact, a lovely beach and our food is constantly rated as very good, but there's so much more to it, did you took the exploring tour around the island to go to the bird's lagoon? this along with the snorkel events are the highlights of this tour for people looking for a real ecological adventure, about the price as you mentioned it, Contoy is 1 hour away from Cancun and for the privilege of being a part of the 200 people allowed in the island each day (because of ecological and preservation reasons) the rate per person is more than fair. About the boat, Contoy is a very restricted place to enter, in fact, there are only 15 boats that can dock in the Island, we own 3 of them, the reason they can dock is because they have to be certified by the government's environmental agency as friendly and we only use bio-diesel, we are sorry if this day in particular one of this certified engines broke down but if you read our over 1,000 reviews this is very rare, We apologize for your inconvenience and invite you to come in another adventure with us, perhaps in our Isla Mujeres tour that has a lower price and a very beautiful beach, Playa Norte, considered one of the world's nicest beaches, it also includes a stop at a very nice reef to do some snorkeling and this site is rarely canceled for the activity because it is located between Cancun and Isla Mujeres. Best regards Roberto del Castillo Contoy Adventures

Tour is bad! Don't go! We just went today, Feb 21st 2020 and we get to Isla Contoy and they decided for unknown reason we were not going to snorkel. I paid $100 each (American) to sit on a beach. It was clear we were not going to snorkel so they didn't tell us until we got to
