The dock is in Cancun. It looks like Akomel is about 1.5 hours from Cancun. So you would have a pretty long taxi ride. Once you get to the dock, it's an all-day excursion. It costs about $110 per person. So worth it... More

You can wear sunscreen, but it MUST be the ocean-safe kind. They don't allow you to put on regular sunscreen because it can ruin the reef's ecosystem if too much gets in the water from all the tourists. As far as bug... More
