Once you see this waterfall, you will understand the name. Water cascades in a film over the granite creating a beautiful sheer mist. Right off the road with a platform for viewing. Although if you are adventurous, you can scale down the granite rocks and traverse the creek to get up close and personal.

We made it to the falls during the early morning hours and during the month of June. Fortunately there was water falling and looking at the pictures, it looks like there are times where it flows more rapidly than what we saw.
There is a boardwalk area that you can stand on to see the falls and it seems like it would be easily accessible by wheelchairs. The only thing those who are in wheelchairs would be unable to do, is to walk down along the water and cross the creek. Unless someone carried you.
It's an easy thing to see if you are driving along the canyon, and if there is water, definitely worth the stop. While we were there, there was a couple of people own in the canyon crossing the water to get a closer view of the falls.

These are the tallest falls in the area. During the peak of summer, the water is sparse and the falls slide down a rocky face. This was not my favorite stop as there is limited parking. The parking is also across the street from the water, making access somewhat dangerous. There is one viewing platform that does not highlight the cascade very well. Everyone capable crawls down a rocky and somewhat dangerous bank for a closer look and a water experience. Knowing that people are constantly scaling the bank, it would seem that the park administration would make an official and legitimate access point to avoid possible accidents.

This is the one waterfall on scenic byway 14A on the northern end.
Be sure to go down the trail to the right of the platform, cross Spearfish Creek, and see the bottom of the waterfall. There has already been laid steady logs and rocks to allow you to cross and stay dry.

It was a beautiful day for a hike and Bridal Veil Falls was our destination. Although the falls were far from cascading, the beauty of the area made the hike well worth it. I highly recommend doing it!

The pull off to park along the side of road was busy, so watch yourself while crossing to get to lookout side of the falls. You can cross the small creek and get up close if you go down the dirt paths to the creek. Then cross the creek to falls. We saw mountain goats along the side of the creek which was great. Worth a stop!

Not much to see. Apparently low water volume when we were there. Located along the highway with pull off available. Nice to stop on your way to Spearfish, but I wouldn't make a special trip for the falls.

Beautiful area first of all! Definitely stop here on your drive to see the falls. It has a viewing platform and also a small hike to get a closer look. Which makes it perfect for able-bodies and people with physical restrictions.

I took my daughter into the base of the falls and got some great pics. We all loved the scenery and access from the road.

Worth the pull off while driving the scenic byway from Spearfish. Be prepared though, it can become busy. We just looked at the falls from the pulloff/roadway, but you can walk down to the falls.

Is there a walking path we could bring our dogs on around this area?

I'm sorry, I really don't know that answer as I wasn't aware of any animals in the area... I was just basking in the upward beauty of the falls and taking many pictures of it...
