Swung through this off-the-beaten path state park while on a motorcycle trip with friends only because we saw the sign. As it name implies, it's tucked in a little valley filled with hardwood trees. A big difference from the prairie that surrounds it.
This isn't the easiest place to get to, but it is well worth it if you time it out right. In the fall you can see some beautiful foliage as the leaves change. There are plenty of trails to use and picnic areas as well....More
I grew up going to Sica Hollow every year as a youth. Enjoyed hearing the folklore, hiking the trails, and picnics with family and friends. It is beautiful any spring and summer but the changing of colors in autumn is the best.
