Worth stopping in if you have time. Not a jam packed museum, but a - well - pawn shop / museum. Local flavor is held in their cabinets and it feels very homey.

At the corner of Bill Clinton Statue (city has statues on city corners) is the Pawnseum, which is a great place to visit and get out of the heat/cold/elements. It really is part pawn shop (lots of clocks and guns and watches) but there are cool things to see like one of Michael Jackson's gloves. Couple photo ops but not many.

NEVER GO INTO THIS BUSINESS ALONE!! They can EASILY do a switchThis has happened Twice to me where they walk away with your item you bring into their Business!! Also the lady who works the front jewelry case says Nasty, Mean things about their would be customers. She actually said to another employee, "Gee Jason don't you know about Menopause yet?" This business is HORRIBLE, CHEATS, and RUDE!

Pawnseum, now called Presidential Pawn, is a great place to shop. They have a wide variety of merchandise as well as a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Your money goes a long way in this business. Also enjoy the many museum items that they exhibit throughout the store and leave with a little more knowledge about the early days of the Black Hills.
