This is a great golf course, set on the edge of town in an area that is creekside. There are several interesting holes that are risk reward. Good green conditions.

I was looking for a relaxing golf course to spend some time on. I wasn't looking for a championship course with all of the amenities and a difficult time playing. I am sort of a high handicap and I wanted to have fun, not be defeated by the course. There was a bit of a crowd that Saturday (July 26), but we moved along quite well (made the turn in under 2 hours and completed 18 in about 4 hours). The course is open but can through you a few curves. There is some water as Rapid Creek runs through the course. The stream runs along the left side of the 8th fairway and you have to hit over to get to the green. The rough is manageable, but I lost a few balls. Some of the rough is pretty deep and western SD does have rattlesnakes. Many of the views are wonderful. The course allows the average golfer who is not familiar with it (vacationing golfers) to still enjoy the course. One does not have to be an Elks member to golf there, it is open to the public. Tee times were easy to get and at a reasonable price. I'd go there again if I ever get the chance.

Always been so happy to play out here with my teenage varsity golfing high school daughter! The holes are long and fun, the grass is in great shape, the crowds are non-existent.

We played 18 holes on June 7th. The experience was awful. The guy running the pro shop was extremely rude. He was unhelpful and plain rude. On the turn, he asked us if we were playing the back nine when we has paid for 18.... and then told us we had to be done by 8:30pm....we will play till the sun sets.... if this guy still works here next time, we won't be back. WORST golf experience ever.
