We had a very memorable day with Black Hills Adventures. They picked us up at our hotel and drove us to a breathtaking lake for kayaking. We have three kids between 6&10 years old. The tour guide was great to make everything enjoyable for our kids. After lunch she drove us through Needles Highway and Iron Mountain road. She is very knowledgeable about the area. We lucked out that we happened to go on this adventure the first day of our trip because our tour guide helped us make plans for the rest of our trip. Our day with Black Hills adventures was definitely the highlight of our trip.

My husband booked a private tour of the Badlands for my 50th Birthday. Carrie was our tour guide and it was by far the best tour we have been on. She was extremely knowledgable on the entire area. We had just moved to the area and it was awesome to learn so much about our new home. It was freezing the day we took the tour, but she made it so much fun despite not being able to get out of the truck too often. After doing tour after tour, she still loved seeing all the animals and got so excited about them (I loved that). I feel that she went above and beyond to make our tour something very memorable. We will definitely be booking other tours and will use Black Hills Adventure Tours for company that comes to visit as well.

We had very bad weather! Could not see passed the front of the car most of the time. Karen was great and did the best that could be done under the conditions. She tried her best to work around the zero visibility. She took us through the exhibits and gave us a lot of history and background. She was able to answer all our questions and give us a lot of information that helped us with the other things we wanted to do and see while we were in the area.

We actually did 3 tours. Black hills monument, badlands and the Michelson bike tour. All three tours we had the same guide, Mickey and she was awesome. Easy to visit with, energetic, and super knowledgeable. All three tours they pick you up at your place in the morning and drop you off in the afternoon. There are a lot of things too see and most are about a 90 minute drive. The tour knows right where to go! All fees are covered letting you get in to places quicker. Our guide also knows all the hidden gems, trails, and awesome scenery roads. Obviously it costs money but we saw all the sights and did not have to worry about driving or parking. We would use them again if we return to rapid city. They also provide snacks, water and lunch so all you need is a camera.
