Six adults traveled to Rapid City and hired John as our tour guide for three full days. What a great experience it was. From the time of our first telephone call to John until he dropped us off for the final time at the hotel, John was amazing, thorough and available. John was with us and toured us on their three most popular tours. We were absolutely please with the professionalism John showed us each day. He was always on time and was a mountain of information. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history, geological nature of the area and full of facts and stories about this area. It was noticeable how safe of a driver John was throughout the three days. We would HIGHLY recommend John and his company for any touring in this area. You will be very pleased.

I highly recommend John for this tour. We actually did a private tour with him and it was fantastic. His knowledge, professionalism, customer service, and interactions with us are unmatched. This tour is worth every penny as John knew exactly where to go and completely relieves any stress on parking, buying tickets, and coordinating what is next. On the way to each stop, we went places I never would have thought of on my own. He was energetic and fun.

My parents and I took a private tour of the Badlands with Cindy on July 20, 2022. Cindy picked us up at our hotel in a very comfortable vehicle and drove us first to the geology museum at the local university to learn about the history of the Badlands and the terrain. We saw numerous interesting fossils at the museum as well. We next visited a decommissioned Minuteman Missile site on the way to the Badlands. It was very interesting to learn about the missile sites. We then visited a homestead and learned about life and hardship on the prairie, and of course saw many adorable prairie dogs. We then visited the Badlands, which are beautiful and interesting formations of varying colors as far as the eyes can see! They are absolutely spectacular! We limited our walking due to the 100+-degree temperature, but hardier tourists would have a wonderful time hiking the established trails on a cooler day. We had lunch in the Badlands and visited an active paleontology lab working on dinosaur fossils, which was very educational. On the way back to the hotel, Cindy took us to Walldrug, which we had never heard of before; it's a good place to stop for ice cream and a bit of quick shopping at the end of the day. We had a fantastic time with Cindy and learned so much along the way. We enjoyed getting to know Cindy and learning about life in South Dakota throughout the day. I highly recommend this private tour! There is also an evening tour, which must be spectacular with a clear night sky!

We spent 3 days with John and Cindy who not only showed us all around, but provided unparalleled historical, geological and cultural information about the region. Their depth of knowledge and passion for the land is matched only by their expertise in sharing that knowledge and passion with others. We give them 1,000 stars and recommended them to anyone visiting this special region of the country. We love you John and Cindy!

We hired John Eposti through Tours by Locals and were thrilled with him as a guide through the Badlands National Park. We learned about the geological formations, hit a variety of different sites where we saw majestic overlooks, walked on trails, visited a missile installation and stopped to photograph wildlife. We had lunch at Wall Drug, which was a fun diversion, and even got to hear some cowboy poetry. John planned a wonderful day, and helped us appreciate a majestic landscape with warm conversation, informative facts and even arranged to have his wife meet us to help us turn in our van at the end of the day. Well worth the modest investment to enhance your trip!

My wife and I booked three private tours with GeoFunTrek Tours: The Badlands; Mount Rushmore/Crazy Horse; and Deadwood/Northern Black Hills. We had a different guide for each tour: Cindy, Chris, and John. One word, PHENOMENAL! All three guides were extremely attentive to our wishes. They always made us comfortable and safe. With each tour, they picked us up and delivered us back to our hotel. They have exceptional knowledge of the area's culture, history, and geology. They are courteous, polite, and humorous. They made our "bucket list" visit to the area spectacular and enjoyable beyond our expectations.

John was an excellent guide for our group of four (two couples). His extensive knowledge of history, geology and the area made our trip more interesting. He worked with us as we originally booked for September 2019 and we finally made our trip September 2021. He knew the best picture places, best restaurants, and the best rest spots. He showed unforgettable places such as Mt Rushmore through the tunnel, Needles, and Wall Drug Store! We highly recommend GeoFun Trek. The best way to see the some of America's best places.

Our family did 3 days with GeoFunTek tours and it is the best tour! John’s knowledge of the area is incredible. From geology to poetry! We went from Black Hills to the Badlands. Visiting historic towns, national parks, national monuments, state parks, scenic byways and listening to cowboy poetry of Badger Clark. We had 3 generations on our tour and John made it interesting for everyone there! GeoFunTrek tours is an exceptional company. Truly the best I have ever experienced.

John did a phenomenal job giving our family a tour of Needles Highway, Mount Rushmore, and Crazy Horse. Very knowledgeable about the area we would not have learned as much as we did about the area without him. He was very courteous taking many things into consideration about our day and tours. Highly recommended doing this.

We spent 4 great days with John, visiting so many great places, we enjoyed finding out about the Bad Lands. Especially enjoyed seeing all the animals. John had so much patience with us going out of his way to help us out including trip to medical centre. Highlights were the wonderful sunset and viewing the night sky in the badlands, visiting Bear Country USA, Mt Rushmore, Deadwood and Crazy Horse Memorial. But of course couldnt go past those cute Prairie Dogs. thanks John.

Greetings from the northern hemisphere. Thank you for the wonderful review. One thing that I truly enjoy about the review process is that I get to relive the fun things that I got to do. That sunset and starry skies in the badlands was truly a memorable night. Do you remember seeing the three satellites converging in the same small segment of the sky? Take care and travel safely, John Esposti
