Downtown Rapid City is absolutely great. Don't miss the presidents' statues on street corners and be sure to visit the Information and Gift shop located on the main street. If you want a real history adventure, pick up the free guide, or purchase the more informational booklet in the gift shop BEFORE you strike out to visit the statues. Each... More

Not a lot to do in Rapid City. It was not really a touristy city. Rapid City is a very flat city with no sky scrapers to see. Just a few bars and restaurants to try out. statues of all the past presidents of the USA are dotted around on all the street corner, fun trying to recognise them before... More

We walked around and found several interesting places, including many statues of presidents. In the evening there was a band playing downtown.

Loved all the new shops and restaurants repurposed in the historical downtown area. The city has done a great job of bringing people to the area including the park on Main Street with the children's fountain. Full-size bronze statues of US presidents are around the city. Art Alley is a fun, colorful graffiti filled alley painted by a local artists... More

On all the corners are statues of the president's. It's fun to walk and try to guess which statue is which president. Nice park area. It was raining when we walked around but I wish the weather would have been better do we could explore more. We felt very safe walking around.

A wonderful walk-able .city. Each president has a bronze stature on one corner of town. Fun to find them and identify. There is a map for finding them. Had a wonderful time learning about the history, Little shops, restaurants and the vendors are happy to share information about town. Very surprised but delighted with my visit.
