Had a fabulous time with Daniel and XO Adventures. A fun filled day with our group of 8. With Daniel doing all of the driving we ALL got to experience the beauty of the area. Daniel’s knowledge of Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer State Park added to our experience. Saw buffalo, donkeys, prairie dogs, prong-horned antelope. Loved the Iron Mountain drive. Those incredible tunnels framing Mt Rushmore were spectacular. Daniel set up a tasty lunch including brownies and ice cream. A day we’ll always remember. Thank you Daniel.

This was the second tour we took and found Daniel very knowledgeable and interesting. Always concerned for our welfare and enjoyment. Felt very comfortable with his driving on the narrow windy roads. He made sure we didn't miss anything. I recommend his tours every time.

Daniel was an excellent host and tour guide who knows everything about this area. We did 2 separate tours with him, one to The Badlands, Minuteman Missile Museum and Wall Drug, it was amazing ! We did our 2nd tour to the southern black hills to Mt Rushmore and Custer St Park, again...truly fantastic !

Private tour is the way to go!

Daniel with XO Adventures was concerned about the weather and if we would be able to visit the scheduled venues. Concern for our safety, excellent.

Knowledgeable about area and offered information we would not have ascertained by ourselves.

A private tour is the way to go. We could both view the scenery during the drive versus one of us having to concentrate on the road and the route.

I thought this was one of the most amazing visits to the Badlands. Conditions on the night prior made for a magical winter wonderland! I enjoyed the time we spent as much as you. It was definitely an adventure, and one that required attention to safety, but wow. So many animals and so few people. It was like we had the park to ourselves. Thank you so much for leaving a review, and for including me in such a special moment. You guys were a pleasure to host, and great fun showing off one of my favorite places. Do come back again!

The Sunset That Wasn’t

We booked with Daniel about a week before we arrived in SD. He was very pleasant and helped in planning what we wanted to see. Because we had an hour plus drive to get to the Badlands we left mid morning thinking we’d hike around on our own then meet Daniel for the sunset tour later. Daniel had been kind enough to give us some ideas of where to go during the day. About 30 mins out from The Badlands he called and explained that it was pouring rain at The Badlands and the weather outlook for the rest of the day was not very good, and even worse for the evening sunset. He suggested we cancel and was very kind to offer to refund our money as the experience was not going to be what we would want. We continued on to The Badlands on our own anyway so the day was not a total loss, but the weather wasn’t the best and we were very grateful that Daniel was honest and refunded our money. We look forward to hiring him for any tour the next time we’re in Rapid City.

THE BEST TOUR OF SARASOTA

We opted for a tour with this company with Daniel instead of the usual trolley tour. So glad we did! A great "hands on" tour. We actually walked the grounds of the Ringling mansion, toured the secret garden, saw the Ringling grave sites, went thru the soon to be beautiful rose garden area, sat out on the massive patio of the mansion and waited for the sunset overlooking Sarasota Bay. A well spent 2 hour tour including a drive thru the historic and arts section of Sarasota. Daniel knows a lot of history of Sarasota and is happy to share it with his tour guests in an enjoyable and fun manner.

Relaxing River Tubing

Daniel and Michael are great. It was a nice well organized relaxing day trip down the Rainbow River on tubes. I did not know there was river tubing in Florida. It was a pleasant surprise.

Dealing w/Daniel was a pure pleasure! He was super accommodating with anything we requested which made our 3 day visit all that much more special. We actually booked 2 days of 'private tours' with XO Adventures and didn't regret a single moment! Daniel took us everywhere we would have never imagined existed and I'm glad we did. He didn't leave out anything and educated us on more that we thought was even imaginably there in South Dakota. If you don't do it this way with XO, then you're going to miss out on a lot! Best experience we could have imagined and one we definitely didn't plan on so we're glad we found XO Adventures!!!

Only Way To Go !

Our tour guide Dave was incredible, funny and extremely knowledgeable about the area. He definitely loves his job. Highlights were Iron Mountain and Needles Highway. The tunnels, rock formations, Sylvan Lake were an unforgettable experience. He knew the best places for photos and was very accommodating in taking them. One of the perks of the tour was my husband didn’t have to negotiate the hairpin turns and could enjoy all that was offered. Dave was also very good at spotting the wildlife. Enjoyed the picnic lunch provided, a special treat. I would highly recommend. A private tour is definitely the way to go!

Badlands at Sunset

This was a wonderful tour. Our tour guide, Daniel, was great. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure we got to see and do all that we expected. We saw prairie dogs, big horn sheep, a coyote, buffalo, and antelope. The night sky was awesome. We never realized how many satellites were in our skies. Daniel had water and snacks for us. Thank you for such a rich experience.

Thank you for writing such a nice review Mary Ann! This is my favorite tour and I’m glad you enjoyed it so much too. The night skies are the best here in the Badlands. We do our best to make sure you view the sunset and stars most comfortably. The places we chose are off the beaten path to avoid the crowds , while the mats, blankets, hot cider, hand warmers, star charts and lasers bring it all together. I never get tired of seeing the shooting stars, planets, satellites and occasionally the star link launches. It was a lot of fun and I hope you come back to see the park again. My XO Adventures thanks you for allowing us to host you for a special event!
