Your child will LOVE storybook island. There are characters from all sorts of childhood favorites, plus a train and carousel. Admission is free, but the train and carousel do cost extra. My six year old still loves this place, but I think it starts to lose appeal around 10 years of age.

We stopped with our 4 & 6 year olds and had a blast. The kids loved all of the characters and playground equipment. A lot of the displays and equipment is vintage, but in good repair. We visited on a hot Sunday, but there were lots of trees for shade. They have a carousel and little train ride.

Always a fun time at story book island. I remember when my parents took me and now my kids live it. It's 100% free...however I always throw at least a $10 in the donation box when we go. You can tell it takes money to keep it up. Your good for at least an hour of fun for the kids... More

My daughter and I had an apsolute blast adventuring through this place! So many things to see so make sure you give yourself ample time to make it through the whole park! Plus while over by smokey the bear, if you look behind his shoulder to the landscape behind, you'll get a great shot of one of the dinosaurs the... More

Such a fun Idea and kids will love this place. It has life size characters we all know and love from childhood and will entertain the kids and bring back memories to adults.

Fabulous storybook park that is free although they accept donations. Almost every childhood story is found throughout. There are many interactive themes with a small train that rides around half of the park. Very clean and fun for all ages. There are theatrical productions a couple days a week which are presented by local top notch children. There is a... More

Took our 1 1/2 yr old granddaughter. She loved the under 5 area and the train and carousel. It was a nice activity after being cooped up in the car. Admission is free, but a small fee for the rides. Go early if it is hot.

Our large family (ten siblings, their spouses, children, and even a few great grandchildren and friends of the family) gathers at Storybook Island for family reunions. We have done this for many years. There is a fun "amusement park" for the wee ones and nice picnic shelter large enough to accommodate all of us. This beautiful large park is filled... More

After seeing reviews and having some time to kill we stopped by. The kids enjoyed it a lot. It is clean an well-maintained with plenty of playground stations to keep them busy. It is completely free although donations are suggested and there are two rides that cost (if memory serves) $2 each. Plenty of concession options as well. If you're... More

For it being free I was very impressed. There was so many different characters my baby was freaking out lol. Kids loved it. It's a huge park and has a train ride and Mary go round.
