About
Flags and Wheels is a locally-owned, family run business. We pride ourselves in being the premier indoor attraction destination in South Dakota. We've always had a passion for racing, and with Flags and Wheels, we can share that fun and passion with you! Over the years we've expanded our business to include more than just racing. We want to create an environment that's fun for the whole family, from the young to the young at heart. The Black Hills is home to many attractions, but Flags and Wheels is unique and one of the few that truly has something for everyone.

It could be cleaner and more up to date but it is still super fun! Just wash your hands afterwards or use extra germ-x. We rode the race carts which went crazy fast! We also did 4 rounds in the batting cages and they were just as expected. Then we played some arcade games, yeah they were older but they still had all the classic games and we had a ton of fun. The games were pretty much all a quarter or .50 cents a piece and the prizes were pretty typical for the younger kids. All in all well worth the money and time to stop by and play. We went on a weekday and there was only a few other people there so it was perfect. Also the lady at the counter was super nice and friendly and explained everything they had very well!

This place is... fine. I usually have fun here when I go, but its just kind of dull.
My main complaint is that this place just feels pretty stale and lifeless, beside the laser tag area.
Whenever we went last time, for whatever reason the clerk really did not want me and my friend to play paintball, and kept telling us how much it'd hurt, even when we kept saying we wanted to play. We eventually just kinda decided not to play, not a big thing but was a bit strange.
Laser tag is fine, and personally one of my favorite parts of the place.
The racetrack is a pretty fun part as well, very gassy smell in there, but thats to be expected.
A few arcade machines were out of service last visit though. Definitely needs some upgrading, but I wouldn't steer away from it, but would recommend going here mainly as a side activity, and not making it the goal or primary stop of your trip.

This was our kids' very favorite thing out off all the site seeing we did in Rapid City and the Black Hills! We saw their website and knew how expensive things were - go carts are $4.50 for 5 minutes! But it's an indoor track and we went when the local kids still had school so we had the place to ourselves other than 2 other people. But I can imagine what a loud, noisy nightmare that place could be on evenings and weekends.

We spent $55 and did 3 things total. Our two kids did the bumper cars and hated it! The area is very small and they didn't move the empty cars out of the way so they kept hitting them.

Then we did the slot cars - DON'T waste your money on them. The cars NEVER stay on the tracks. The employee knew that as she gave us a "claw/arm" to get the cars from the center of the track when they fly off. Even when we put them back on the track, the cars didn't always go and needed someone to hold the go lever down while a second person had to push the car along the track to make a connection.

The third thing we did was the go carts. They were fun (since we had the track to ourselves) - our kids could have done that for hours but we couldn't afford it! It was so fun for them to drive the cars. It is indoors and the gas fumes give you a headache after a short while. Luckily, the ride was only 5 mins - I feel sorry for the workers who breathe it all day long. They did have several huge fans running which I'm sure helped some as without the fans - it would have been much worse.

Our kids would LOVE to go again but it is just too expensive. But glad we went and enjoyed the go carts as the slot cars and bumper cars were such a disapppointment.

There’s an arcade, batting cages, and go-karts. We took our 2 and 4 year old and drove the go-karts with them ($6.50 per adult/cart), and they had a blast! Everything was reasonably priced too - arcade games 25 cents, and the go karts you got to ride for what seemed liked a long time! The facility is older, slightly hot in the summer, but a fun experience for all of us! If you don’t bring change/cash, they can charge your debit card and give you change back. The younger male employees working there were very professional and personable!

We really didn’t have a great start. When we walked in another man with his family was at the counter asking if he could get a refund on his tickets and was met with an attitude from a lady at the front desk saying they don’t give refunds. He actually handed us his tickets and walked out saying his was done with them.

When it was out turn we talked to a man and asked about the paintball and if it required tickets or just paying. We had an even worse attitude with this man. He talked to us like we were dumb saying it was entirely different and didn’t take tickets. Then informed us that it involved paint (who knew 🙄). The provide absolutely nothing other than a mask.

We just saved our tickets and went back another day and got there early and had as little to do with them as possible.

I went with my kids, and my sisters family. The slower karts are just that slower. The two seat karts are not really 2 seater's . They had a board for the passenger to sit on. The extreme karts are awesome, they give you pint outs after you race showing your lap times and avg MPH. The staff was great. But that is where it all ends for them. The celling tiles are falling in, there is standing water in places, the smell.....I smell mold, and gas fumes every place you go there. It is filthy, the video games are boring, the bumper cars I don't think are safe. Did I tell you the place smells and is filthy.

We came here for a day of fun while the ski slopes at Terry Peak were a little questionable. A group of 6 of us tore up the track here and had a great time! We also played laser tag and hit in the batting cages. I would definitely recommend.

Last year my son and I discovered this fun place and this year we went back. The go-carts were just as fun as I remembered and the laser tag wore us out. The arcade was a bit run down last year but was much better this year with many more and better games.

Just finished a party of seven boys ages 11-13. They had a ball. Everything is I working order, the cars are fun, batting cages, arcade games and laser tag. Party room works out nicely. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The place is set back off the highway and looks pretty beat up but we had fun. There are plenty of different activities to do. I just wish you paid a set fee to get in then you could wander from activity to activity. Instead you have to pay separately for each thing which is a bit inconvenient if your on a budget. The kids had to pick and choose what they wanted to do and of course no one could agree but I wasn't going to sell the farm just so they could play every game.
