Over a span of 14 years, 360 goldminers-turned-craftsmen carved a rough granite mountain into a polished national treasure, known today as Mount Rushmore. Today, in dozens of intricate steps, our craftspeople carry on this tradition of quality and excellence with every piece of Mt. Rushmore Black Hills Gold and diamond jewelry. There are many steps involved in the handcrafting of a single delicate design. Each piece is cast, shaped, ground, polished, soldered, cleaned, wriggled and engaved by our skilled artisans.

Take a fascinating FREE tour through our jewelry factory to watch up-close and learn the details of how gold jewelry is made. During the tour you'll see the ancient process of lost-wax casting and how diamonds are cast in molten gold! Tours are arranged to fit your schedule and we're conveniently located on your way to Mount Rushmore!

I had no idea what went into creating jewelry and esp black hills gold. My kids loved it too. It didn't seem like much, but going through the process (which is all handmade) and watching workers do it right as you walked by was amazing. My kids are 11, 8 and 6 and they were very into it. We bought... More

While this factory tour is inside Landstrom's Gold jewelry store, the tour was very interesting. There is a short video you can watch while waiting for your tour to start, showcasing the process of making Black Hills gold jewelry. The young man who led our tour was very friendly and patient with questions asked. The employees creating this wonderful jewelry... More

We saw how jewelry is made from design to finished product. I bought some ear rings and a necklace. It was interesting to see how it all came together.

Had a great and relaxing time here. Weather was perfect getaway to compared to Texas heat during the summer. I loved the views and loved the overall experience. Looking forward to coming back.

We checked their website and a flyer and they said they had tours until five o'clock so we got done a little early and walked in the door a little before 4 and they said we stopped doing tours today at three so we don't have any going on. you could watch a movie or go shopping so we turned... Stopped in early in the day for the tour. We were the only ones interested in taking the tour at that time. The staff was very accommodating and took just the two of us on the tour. I had worked in the ring manufacturing business years ago but we actually struck all of our pieces. Here we were introduced to... More

After finding a brochure about this tour, we looked it over and thought it would make for an interesting experience for our upper elementary aged children. However the brochure did not mention there were not weekend tours. Disappointing and frustrating! Was able to watch a short video instead.

We stopped by to look at Black Hills Jewelry and took the short tour. It was fun watching the craftsmen working on actual jewelry while seeing the behind the scenes process. We did buy some jewelry there after looking at other stores because we liked these designs the best. Highly recommended.

WE recently had the opportunity to visit the Black Hills Gold Factory and were very amazed at the workmanship in each and every piece of Black Hills jewelry that is manufactured at this "Made in America" factory. Our guide made sure that we were able to watch some of the intricate pieces being made. A well worth trip.

More than just a store selling gold & silver, they have tours into the factory where you can watch craftsman & craftswoman creating a wide assortment & designs for jewelry. We were very impressed with gold earrings and were assisted by KALLIE G, a very knowledgable sales associate. My wife purchased a pair of lovely earrings. When visiting here, ask... More
