First off I want to see this was free. But there was a box for Goodwill offering. The volunteer outside the chapel was extremely knowledgeable and very chatty. Love hearing his stories and his knowledge about this beautiful Chapel. I cannot describe the beautiful woodwork all the engraving in the detail just gorgeous

If you are interested in anything Norwegian, you will enjoy this attraction. Not a lengthy stop but interesting story and information on an authentic Norwegian church.

This is a replica Norse church. Fantastic location and they still have services there! There is also a replaying recording explaining the church's origins.

In the back of a neighborhood in the middle of Rapid City is this Norwegian church. The architecture makes it worth a look, but there's not much to do to constitute a long stay. I would suggest people interested in religion, architecture, or roadside oddities visit this attraction. Everyone else can skip it and not feel bad.

We were in town for five days and were trying to see some of the other (non-Black Hills) attractions. We came upon the Chapel almost by accident. What a beautiful memorial to one’s parents! You will learn a very interesting history behind this Chapel. In addition, you will experience a wonderfully peaceful dwelling, not to mention its architectural appeal and... More

A really beautiful church. A true example of crafty woodsmanship. I have seen the original in Norway and this is as beautiful as that.

This place is so awesome and tranquil. The carving in, on and around the chapel is exquisite. When you go inside the chapel a recording comes on and explains things about the chapel and the builders. Take a moment to sit and listen to the recording. There is a great little log cabin as a museum with Ole and Lean... More
