After miles of billboards, and amazing vintage firetrucks; we had to stop in and checkout the Firehouse Brewery and Wine Cellar complex.
After exploring the restored firehouse, and the firefighting oriented paraphernalia decor; we stopped in the wine cellar section.
Besides the wine, they have a variety of other items to browse.
We ended up with a couple of postcards depicting the early years of the firehouse; before its transformation. .
Our only disappointment was not finding any staff with much knowledge regarding the numerous early firetrucks, used as advertisements along the Interstate.
Regardless, even if one is not interested in dining and/or drinking; this complex is an interesting architectural and historic attraction.

Went in on a Wednesday night on accident. Thought it was the bar but we were not disappointed. We had Buffalo sausage flatbread and the margherita flatbread. Both were very good. Best thing of the night though was our server. I wish I would have remembered her name but she was a real sweetheart and very knowledgeable about the wine and beer selections. She was cooking and serving and still was very accommodating. We had a great conversation and a great night. You have some talent there and you should do whatever you can to keep her. Good employees are hard to find nowadays.

Cute wine shop attached to a mercantile. I really liked and recommend the Sauvignon blanc and rose. Great outdoor space for people watching along Main Street in downtown Rapid City.

What a fun time! Colleen guided us through a tasting of 6 different wines. We were blown away! Excellent wines and a cozy yet festive atmosphere. Run don’t walk to Fireside Wine Cellars if you are visiting!

Stopped by for a couple glasses of wine midweek. 3 rooms to the place. The main room with bar and 1 table, the store part and another room with tables. One has to go to the counter at the bar to order. No table service unless they are bringing out a cheese board or flat bread from the kitchen. The table we sat at was dirty and told the female bartender. She handed us a dry napkin for us to do our own cleaning 🙁 Okay. Wine 🍷 was good and fair in price. We wanted a cheese board but that never worked out. Only 2 at the bar and 1 couldn’t leave until the other came back to make it. She was waiting on others at the bar and working on the computer when she should have been putting the board together. After about 10 minutes of waiting, we told them to forget it. Maybe they need more help so customers can get some service and food if they order it. We wouldn’t go back.

Great food and unique atmosphere. The building is actually an old firehouse. Love downtown Rapid City and this is a good place to eat while strolling through the shops. Recommend the Reuben, onion rings, and wonton tuna poke’.

Lady was very nice, and knew the wines. We loved trying them and bought many for Christmas Gifts. Plus went next door and got a bite to eat at the Firehouse Brewery and my husband sampled the draft beer, he liked the one that had wheat in the name. He was amazed because he didn't like budlight wheat beer, but liked theirs

We thoroughly enjoyed this local business. The staff are knowledgeable of the history of the business and of the nuances of the wines. The building is historic and nicely appointed. The sampler was a great way to go and we found multiples wines we liked. Ultimately ended picking up “Book Club”.

For an after dinner drink we went to the Firehouse wine cellars (next to the Firehouse brewery) and had a sweet cherry wine with chocolate. Tom liked the wine but only could handle the white chocolate.

Enjoyed the outside seating verses inside!!!!

Excellent service, friendly, knowledgeable, and fun! Loved the wine, loved the apparel store attached and the wine server, I believe it was Colleen, knew all there could be known about the wine and the heritage of the company! A must stop for everyone, but esp if you have a love for firefighters!
