This is a tasting room. For the cost of $6.00 you get to taste 5 wines and keep the glass (nice souvenir). The wine that you are tasting is from other places. For example - they have wine there from Prairie Berry winery, they will charge you $22.00 a bottle that you can get for $16.50 at Prairie Berry. It... More

First, this isn't really a winery. It's a tasting room...and a good one. The staff was very friendly and helpful in suggesting options. It's a great way to taste wines from many of the South Dakota wineries, without having to travel all over the state. You can choose from several souvenir glasses, and a good number of local (and other)... More

Really appreciated the hostess for wine tasting. She was knowledgable and engaging. Not free, but you get to pick a souvenir glass and we tried almost ten different wines. Maybe off season helped with the variety.

You know us ladies we love the wine. It was Sturgis week 2015. We all were walking down town Hill city SD and went in to check out this cute little place and fell in love! We got to try five kinds of wine and the cool things was we got to keep our glass. And of course we had... More

Stopped in here on our way out of Hill City and what a cute place with very helpful people working here. We took several bottles of wine back to Chicago with us. The staff was very helpful in helping us choose which wines we wanted and gave us samples so we made sure we were not disappointed. I loved the... More

We stopped in Twisted Pine Winery on our first night in SD. Twisted Pine set a standard for value that we did not find again. Our server was very friendly, the flavored wines fun, if not of the classic variety. $5 for numerous pours and a keepsake glass proved impossible to beat anywhere else. My only recommendation would be to... More

We chanced upon this place while walking along Main Street. They carry a wide selection of local wines along with out of state ones. It's $5 to try 5 wines and you get to keep your glass. Mine came from Stone Faces Winery, a treat after having just visited Mt. Rushmore. I'm partial to sweeter wines & I was given... More

We happened upon this place during our 1880s train excursion. It is absolutely the best way to pass the time if you're a wine lover. They house many local wines, in one store, making it very convenient. The staff was very kind and accommodating. If you stop through on a hot day and enjoy sweet wines, I would recommend trying... The staff was nice, location is good, but there are no twisted pine wines. You can get these wines from their producers at local area wineries. Disappointed there were no twisted pine wines, felt the name was misleading.
