Experience our award-winning wines in a fun and relaxed setting in the heart of the Black Hills. Find us three miles northwest of Hill City on Highway 385, just a few miles from Mount Rushmore National Memorial and Crazy Horse Memorial. We’re Hill City’s only working winery and Sandi Vojta, our fifth generation winemaker, handcrafts each wine, often using old family recipes, just a few steps from our Tasting Room. Start your Prairie Berry Winery experience with a free wine tasting of up to five of our award-winning wines, including our Anna Pesa handcrafted traditional European wines, at our Tasting Bars. We produce a variety of wines in styles for every palate – from crisp, dry wines and robust, oak-aged reds to sweet, fruity varieties. Our Kitchen offers housemade menu items including gluten-free, vegetarian and kids’ options. Menu selections pair perfectly with our wines, vary with the season and many of our ingredients are sourced locally. Enjoy a meal on our patio with our beautiful views of Black Elk Peak (formerly Harney Peak). Our brewery, Miner Brewing Company, is located next door.

My wife and I enjoyed going to their free wine tasting. We each tried 5 different wine. While they were unusual wines and the flavors were different we were not terribly impressed and we did not end up buying anything. Good wine but nothing that...More

I am a bit of a wine snob. Their versions of the traditional wines are below average and expensive. But their local blends are amazing! I shared a tasting with a friend so we had 10 to sip on and none were 'bad'. I left...More

After the wine, honey and jam tasting, we bought a couple of jars of their great honey and then went next door to their "associated" brewery for a flight of beers. A really fun stop for us, as this was before memorial Day and there...More

We make it a point to stop here when we are in the area. The wine is delicious and the tasting is well organized and fun. They are knowledgeable and helpful. Plus there is a brewery right next door :)

We were too late to enjoy their food (kitchen closes at 7) but enjoyed a nice wine tasting with knowledgeable staff. Lovely venue and would be a fun place for dinner or lunch. Nice discounts on wine and free shipping!

This place is incredible! Such good menu options and spectacular wine. We ordered the meat and cheese tray which included a variety of delicious cheese, crackers, fruit and meat that pairs well with the wine selection. We even ordered a flatbread pizza that was amazing....More

We visit the winery at least once a quarter to pick up our membership order. It's always a lovely visit with a delightful sandwich or just a full glass of wine following the tasting.

No, jackets are not required. It is an informal to casual facility. It is a great experience in wine tasting, the bistro serves very good food but a little on the pricy side. They host numerous events that one should go... More
