We stopped due to the ads for Red A** Rhubarb Wine products. There was a free tasting of many wines along with a cafe serving fresh food. I enjoyed browsing the gift area for wine and wine-related products.

We stopped at the winery for fun and ended up with the best lunch of our vacation. Smoked salmon plate and charcuterie plate with great wines recommended by the staff. Ate outside looking at the mountains. really enjoyed it. Even went back another day!

We had to go there since the all the signs were for Red (Behind) Wine, lol. However there were many more wines to choose from and a pleasant atmosphere. We did the 5 wine tasting and I found a wine that I was rather fond...More

We love the relaxed wine tasting. The people are well trained, but they have their favorites. It is obvious they like wine. We didn’t eat this time but we did notice the amount of food that can be purchased onsite, like meats and cheeses. I...More

If you've been to California or Oregon wine tastings, this will not impress you. However, if this is your first time at a wine tasting, it's a nice stop. The wine tasting is free, and the wine is not expensive. The staff were friendly and...More

This is a fun relaxed place to go wine tasting. Their wines were delicious and they have a good variety. The staff was very knowledgeable about their wines. They also have good jams for tasting.

Great question! We allow dogs to join well-behaved owners on either of our patios, but due to health codes, we do not allow pets inside the building.

Anybody been to the Prairie Berry winery outside of Hill city? Do they offer tours and do they charge for tasting? I like to sample regional wines when I travel, but want to know if this is a worthwhile stop, considerating all the other attractions in the area and time constraints.

We've been twice in the last 6 months. You can taste 5 wines without charge. We've bought wine both times. They also have outside patio seating.

Rehearsal Dinner Gathering place (0 Replies)
My son is getting married in June 2018 at the Prairie Berry Winery and we are looking for a location to hold a rehearsal dinner for around 50 people. We have found a BBQ food truck to cater but need a place to gather. Would also be open to renting a cabin close by that the groomsmen could stay at. Tried Memorial Park in Hill City but alcohol is prohibited and we would like to share a few cocktails. Any ideas?
