I am not a wine drinker, but I always like to try and I usually find one that I like. My husband who is more of a beer and whiskey kind of guy also enjoyed the taste testing and found one that he liked. The people who serve the samples are very knowledgeable and friendly. It is a great stop.... More

Very crowded tasting room but our server made sure to make us feel very welcome and give us a history of the different wines. Wines were very tasty. They offer the first 5 tastes at no charge. We ended up buying 5 bottles, really great experience. There are other tasting rooms nearby in Hill City, we were too tired to... More

We stopped here just to check out the wines and what a special surprise! Not only is it a beautiful setting, but the wines were surprisingly delicious! I have lived many years in the California wine country of Sonoma County so my expectations were not very high for wine in the Black Hills country. I loved some of it so... More

This is a perfect stopping place after visiting all of the wonders of the Black Hills. Wine is amazing. We had lunch outside with the Black Hills in the foreground. Lunch was very upscale menu options, great prices and wonderful staff. Bought a case of wine and headed out. Don't miss this little treasure.

Wine tasting was excellent! Food was great...had our lunch on the patio and of course had some wine with lunch. Great experience. Too bad we could only bring 4 bottles back to Canada with us. Purchased the small stemless wine glasses that are plastic...note to others, don't put in the dishwasher.

We rode past this winery a few times on our cycle rides in the area and decided to give it a try. We noticed that large bus groups were not allowed during Bike Week. We were welcomed to the wine counter and given the wine list along with oyster crackers. We could choose 5 to taste for free! The staff... More

The Prairie Berry Winery has a different taste of wines: choke berry, rhubarb, and pear to name a few. My taste in wine is more for the slightly sweet. My friend's taste is more to the dry. We were both able to find wines that we liked. After the wine tasting and making our selections of wine, we decided on... More

We had such a nice time at the winery. We had seen their wine all over town and it was nice to be able to try it before buying some. We ended up buying 6 bottles and thinking I should have bought more. The winery itself is beautiful, the tasting was nice and all the staff seemed like they loved... More

We have been here several times, and each time it is well worth the drive. They are so friendly and patient with you. They make wine tasting fun. And they have a beautiful patio to sit on and sip your wine and enjoy your food. The scenery from their patio is the best.

It was a pleasant curiosity and surprise to find wineries in Hill City. Did not really like the wines, but it was still interesting. Others may like the wines better. A nice place to visit and nice people.
