I watched the Deadwood show on HBO and when we planned out trip to SD, we set aside a day to visit Deadwood. The first hour we were there I was sick to my stomach. There was a slot machine stuffed into every building and a souvenir shop on every corner. I could not find the city that I remembered... More

$10 for the hour long tour. ($9 military). Very interesting tour around town. Learned a lot of the history of Deadwood. Got to get out at Boot Hill and walk around a bit.

My husband and I wanted to take the Deadwood tour while on our road trip across the Dakotas. We chose Boot Hill because of the recommendations in my travel literature and the reviews on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. Our tour guide was Blake and he was engaging, entertaining and informative. The tour of the city in the open air... More

We were fortunate to see the bus park on the street and ask the driver (the owner) about the tour. It was the last tour of the season, so we really luck out. Some historical spots in Deadwood narrated by a comical young man. A lot of time up on boot hill (Mt Moriah). Lots of details about Wild Bill... More

I have had the opportunity to work with Ron at Boot Hill Tours on several occasions. I I recently took a group of 20 people to Deadwood. They took the Boot Hill Tour and raved about it the rest of the afternoon. It was definitely one of the highlights of the day! Ron and his staff are always professional! The... More

Excellent open bus tour of Deadwood, with a running commentary on places of historical interest, both in the past and on the contemporary scene. The tour guide pointed out and told us about recent local excavations, and the unknown, uncovered remains, which focused on new research. The highlight was a tour of the Mt. Moriah Cemetery, with a stop at... More

We got on board the open window bus. Our guide's name was Ron who told us his humble and funny history as a long time town resident. As we drove through the town we had to stop for a red light at a tight street intersection. Two trucks carrying very huge loads of very long logs turned in front of... More

Like I said in the title. Well worth the cost of admission. Our guide (Will) was very informative and knew his history of Deadwood. You learn a lot of history in the 1 hour tour.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable on Deadwood and it's famous citizens. We enjoyed the visit to Mt. Moriah Cemetery to see the graveside of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. We gambled in the "Gem Saloon". For viewers of the HBO series "Deadwood" this was the one that Swearingen owned. Also went in to the Bullock Hotel (owned by... More
