The memorial park is very clean. If you are interested in seeing some of Sumter's history, you will want to stop here. A little off the beaten path, but well worth visiting.

7120 Acton Rd, Dalzell SC. Not sure why GPS can’t find “gen sumter memorial park“ but it can’t. Lovely stop! Once you find the “history on a stick” keep going- you’re close!

Signage almost helpful to find down a gravel road after the pavement ends in the High Hills of Santee. Cemetery clean but some damage. No one else was there.

There's not much out here and it's poorly maintained. There are no facilities of any kind. The parking lot of dirt. There are no tables and it really seems to be deteriorating.

Peaceful, quiet area. Very serene and cool that places like this exist. Be sure to pay respect to the Fighting Gamecock.
