Great Course but horrible service!!!
Apr 2019 • Friends
Played this course today and really enjoyed it. The course is in very good shape. BUT the staff at the pro shop and inside bar were rude and inattentive, unless you were someone they knew. Customer service needs help.

We are very sorry your experience with our staff was less than outstanding. While we are a semi-private club and we do have members, every guest and member are vitally important to us. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback as this is a valuable tool to share with the team at the course to improve service in the future. We hope you give us a try again and promise to learn from your valuable feedback.

Nice Public Course
Feb 2019 • Friends
This is a reasonably priced public course. Beware there is a lot of water and the fairways can be narrow. Picturesque scenery with plenty of wildlife, including gators. Worth the trip..

Breakfast is served
Mar 2018 • Couples
The Clubhouse offers a nice breakfast menu for a very nice price. My husband and I eat there once a week on different days. We always receive great service, food and a quiet (most of the time) dining area. You do not have to be a club member or resident of Legend Oaks. With few restaurants to choose from way out where we are this is a gem that few people realize. Try it, you won't be sorry. Straightforward menu from omelettes, to eggs.

Nice golf and lunch

Nice public golf course in Summerville area. Some narrow fairways and several water hazards. Greens are in good shape.
Clubhouse restaurant is great stop for a cold draft or a burger and some wings. Very reasonably priced menu.

Play this course 2 days after rain!
Mar 2017 • Friends
When playing any golf course you will always find it more enjoyable when you can play the course at 90 degree rules. Legend Oaks is challenging fun course to play with multiple tee boxes to choose from. The scenery is full of wildlife, egrets, herons, and gators. I have played the course many times, along with many others in the tri-county area, and found that Legend Oaks will satisfy many golfers, high and low handicappers. I am a 5 and I find that around 6400 yards is all I want here. There are some placement shots off the tee box on some holes but playing the course to about 6400 yards will keep driver in your hand on those holes, otherwise a drive of about 230 will put you through the fairway. All the par 5's are reachable in 2 with two darn good shots.
The course does not drain very well so if it rains hard and long for the day before you play it will be cart path only. The course gets a lot of play on the weekend which could easily be a 5 hours round. Full service bar and pro shop. Chipping and putting green but NO driving range, only nets to hit into.

Groupon trick
Aug 2017 • Friends
The only thing I didn't like about this place was their Groupon had some fine print that was very unclear. In the fine print it said that you were to purchase a cart for an additional $20 per round of golf. This should have said per person. Both my friend and I had to pay an additional $20 on top of the Groupon. So the Groupon that says you get 74% off really wasn't accurate. Other than that the course was fantastic the food was fantastic and the golf carts had a fancy little TV on it to show you the current hole and distances. They just duped me on their Groupon.

A new favorite low country golf cource
Jul 2017 • Friends
There is so much to love about this golf course. The first surprise was having a GPS navigation screen which is so much easier than using my golflogic app.

Perfect greens that are, fast and smooth. While there is water on almost every hole, the fairways are generous in width. Several holes require you to play to a certain position to set up second and third shots.

Beautiful layout that winds in and around swamps and woods. I highly recommend Legend Oaks Golf course.

Quality course
Apr 2017 • Family
Gorgeous course weaving through a nice community of homes. Moderately difficult with large water and sand hazzards. Carts were GPS enabled and offered suggestions at each hole. One of the nicer, more reasonably-priced, public courses we've played. Teenagers felt it was challenging but not overwhelming and were impressed by the number of alligators we saw. Definitely recommend!

Nice course
Mar 2017 • Couples
We are staying the month in Garden City. We found this course on groupon and decided it looked worth the 2+ hour drive. The course was pretty and fun. Lots of water and sand which was really a challenge as we are amateur golfers. Each cart has a GPS that describes the hole you're on with up to the minute distances to the green and hazards. The staff were very friendly including the pro shop staff, bar/cafe staff and the starter. The prices in the bar/cafe were decent and the breakfast was really good. We didn't give a 5 because there wasn't anyone at the bag drop to help or direct and some of the ball washers were dry or broken.

This golf course has an awesome set up. You will have to play position golf to have the best opportunity to score well. Very relaxing with a great view and atmosphere.
