Ugly and hard to get too

Parking here was awful. Signs are very poor. My husband walked to it and I stay in the car. But hey, it's a lighthouse and the light was on.

We thought it was a guard house at first as the architecture didn't scream lighthouse. It's just a quick snap of the camera - you can't really do much else - but that's why there's the beach

You cannot access the lighthouse. It is located at an old coast guard station that was probably closed in the 60's. There is a historic marker and an old boathouse type building that you can see up close. it looks like a garage. The lighthouse itself is interesting and worth a look if you are already on the island. It... More

Directional signage is not good. Very limited parking. No public access-at the time of our visit. However, one can get very close in order to observe the unique construction. This is an active servicing Lighthouse. We just had a photo op. If you are on Sullivan Island for Fort Moultrie or the beach, check it out.

This lighthouse is a great photo opportunity. Other than that there is not much to see or do. Lighthouses can be such an attraction even though there is not much there but silent beauty.

No parking spots, no real signage, can't walk up to it. It's almost in someone's backyard in a residential area. Unless you are a lighthouse buff, this one is worth skipping,

Am a big fan of lighthouses but there's not much to see here. It's certainly a unique design. But there's almost no place to park, even to just stop & take a quick picture or two. And other than read the small display that's all you could do anyway.

The lighthouse is nothing more than a picture opportunity. There is nowhere to park and when we went the lighthouse was flooded, so we couldn't walk up to it. I wouldn't recommend making a special trip for it.

This isn't a lighthouse you can actually VISIT. You can only view it from the walking path to the beach. It is in a residential neighborhood. There isn't dedicated parking for this attraction and there are no restrooms. We parked a few streets away and walked. With this being a residential neighborhood, it felt a bit awkward. The lighthouse is... More

The Sullivan's Island lighthouse is an operational lighthouse. It's in a neighborhood and there is no parking, and the light is fenced off. No visitor center. What makes it worth seeing is that is triangular in shape instead of round. Also the top is larger than the bottom. If you are into lighthouses it's a must see, otherwise you might... More
