Croft State Park is a gem in Spartanburg County! There are many trails for hikers, bikers even horses. A beautiful lake and campground are on the grounds. The trails are well kept and used frequently, but it is so spread out, you sometimes don't see anyone!! My husband rides his mountain bike there 2x every week!

We stayed in a 34 ft. TT and had plenty of room in site #12. We had to block the road to unhitch, but there was plenty of room to park the 3500 next to the camper. Park has many miles of trails for cycling and horseback riding. Our stay was quiet and peaceful. It also has a shooting range.... More

Croft State Park is well known for hiking and riding horses, but if you like trail running, Southside is amazing. More than 20 miles of single hilly trails. Access this area of the park through Groce rd out of Hwy 56. These trails are mainly used for mountain biking, but the riders are really courteous with runners. Enjoy your run!

Run out here almost every week. Miles of beautiful trails to run or walk. Most are well marked and the ranger station has maps. You can get a year long pass if you come often.

Our many trips to the state park have always been really fun I have fished there.. We ride mountain bikes on the many miles of trails we have been hiking there and fishing!!! There is a ton of history there because it is part of an old military trading facility .. And now we have a few bald eagles flying... More

Croft State Park was a POW Camp, in WWII. As grisly as that may sound, it's now a great little escape without driving all day to get there! The hiking trails vary from easy to difficult. The longest is just over 6 mi. (I think). There are horses. Boats are available, when the later isn't too low. There's also picnic... More

Have lived in Spartanburg most of my adult life, but have never visited Camp Croft. Made the visit one afternoon and was happily surprised. While this is not a park with the most entertainment, it does have awesome trails, lake, horse facilities, picnic areas and young children's play areas. Currently planning a return for picnic and afternoon with 2 to... More

This park is excellent for camping, hiking or picnic. The area was used for training soldiers during WWII. Henry Kissenger being one. Unspoiled and quiet with a lake. I recommend it!
