We stayed in the cabins at the park. To my surprise, they were really nice and clean. The cabins provided basic necessities and only one TV. The kids loved fishing, walking and seeing animals. Due to possible alligators, we had taken the children to the water park less than 10 minutes away. This is a nice location if you want... More

Was very nice state park. Had beautiful cabins that were right on Lake Marion and had a nice camping area that had Electric and Water hookups. Looked like a nice family place to enjou.

We had a great time.As I was coming into the park a dear crossed behind me. What an amazing site for a city girl. The people were friendly. It took awhile to find my family's location. But we'll worth it. The gazebo was clean. We had electricity. I was not ready for that. We were near everything. Bathrooms, Lake, play... More

My family has been fishing here for decades. The kids are grown and I can pop in for a day of fishing. The help at the small general store is always courteous. There is an air conditioned spot to read if you prefer not to fish. I haven't rented a cabin at the park but I love how they are... More

Spot #101 was difficult to maneuver our 30' RV between 2 very close trees. Listed as lake front. Not lake front. However it is very quiet and large RV area to spread out in. The lake is a very short walk. We had the best time! We floated for hours all alone. We had the whole lake to ourselves with... More

Stopped by to see how the park looked thinking of renting a cabin on the water. The cabins look really neat. Even the ones off the water. Doesn't look like there is much to do but the lake view would make it all worth while. I love scenic parks. You can take a tour of the lake through a boat... More

Santee State Park offers excellent cabin facilities and recreation opportunities on beautiful Lake Marion. The cost to stay is very reasonable and the location is right off I-95. For a break from everyday stresses, this is a good spot to drop out & chill.

Just a short drive from Santee we saw lots of deer, ducks and an extraordinary sunset. Makes for a nice break on a long trip. They do rent SUPs and kayaks at times. The park does have a day use fee.

Camped at Santee State Park 2 nights. Kayaked, paddled boarded and mountain biked on Saturday... No beach area for the kids to swim but found a beachy shore to swim beside the campground. The roads in the campground were the worst we've ever seen...rutted and pot holes were aweful. The sites are big and clean, water and electric provided. The... More
