Had a great day tubing down the Edisto River for our twins’ 14th birthday! Edisto River Adventures has a very efficient and friendly operation. The price is decent and the staff is very helpful. Many thanks to Mason who got all 9 of our tubes + the cooler attached. The scenery is beautiful and the water was perfect. Upon your return there is a volleyball net, corn hole boards and refreshments to purchase. I Would have given 5 stars, but I felt that they did not prepare us for what to do in case of the thunderstorm that crept up on us in the middle of the trip. We felt like sitting ducks floating through private property with no trespassing signs on some docks. All in all a great day, we will definitely go back!

We decided with a large group that was initially 8 (adults and kids) but quickly (by word of mouth) became a nearly unmanageable group of 30. They ask for a "heads up" when that many tubers so I emailed each time the group swelled by another 4 or so. They take folks to the launching spot in either a small bus or van and it's basically first-come first-serve but they made a point to make two trips to take our group. Everyone from check-in, to the girl herding folks onto the buses, to the kids giving you your tubes and getting you in the water, WERE EXCELLENT. So friendly and personable and they made the trip that much better. Be warned, there is only a group discount if paying on one card or cash (one form of payment for the whole group) but it's still very reasonable and they give a great military discount, even to old retirees like me. So, you get dropped upstream, the kids lash all your tubes and cooler tubes together and off you go. It was about 3 hours of floating and when we make it back to their base camp area there are picnic tables, corn-hole boards, volleyball and port-johns. All in all, it was a fantastic day of tubing the Edisto with our group consisting of kids of all ages. From 4 years old up to 13 years old. There is an off-duty Dorchester County fireman/EMT on a jet-ski for safety which was welcomed with a group our size. Bring sunscreen, bug spray, lots of snacks and beverages and enjoy. Truly the best value for money anywhere around. Thank you Mr. Earl and your entire team, you guys were great every step of the way.

Excellent! Took my daughter and son on this trip and they really enjoyed it. Owners and employees are very good natured and easy to get along with. Not to mention the fact that the Edisto is the most beautiful black water river in the country.

Earl was a great guide and helped us with everything we needed including helping us get the kayak in the water. Then assisted us to get in and not have to get real wet. It was a nice leisurely ride down the Edisto River with no problems. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and we will definitely be back.

When I called and asked to make a reservation for a decent length trek down the Edisto, the girl on the phone offered me a trip that, she said would take approx.2-4 hours (depending on how aggressively you paddled). When she was helping us into the water, she again confirmed the length, but she shortened it slightly to, “it could take up to 3 1/2 hours”. My 15 year old son was with me, we are not experienced Kayakers (we’ve only been one other time). I am a 47 year old mom of 4, and not in great physical condition. I paddled a bit and then rested a bit, and we did the entire trip in 45 mins! I just could not believe it when we came around the bend and found ourselves back at the site! I felt like we had been seriously misled. I told the girl that I was dissatisfied, and she just said that she was sorry. She may be an expert at kayaking, but she is no expert at customer service! Why not just say it is an hour long trip? Probably, because it would seem unreasonable to charge $55. for an hour! There are a bunch of other kayaking companies to choose from, choose one of the others!
