Visited for first time. Have a detailed record of Civil War battle of Honey Horn.
Most interesting exhibit was on the music and venues in the past. Had no idea that Ridgeland is home to a manufacturer of drums, guitars and banjoes.. Museum hostess was knowledgeable and helpful. Will defiantly return.

We are so fortunate to have this museum in Ridgeland. The programs offered are varied so there is something for every age. There are many free exhibits, demonstrations and speeches as well as classes in exercise, art, culinary, crafts, etc. for a very reasonable fee.

The last instructional class that I attended, taught me to make beautiful Christmas wreaths from magnolia leaves and bows. It was sponsored by our local Garden Club so we learned from the best!

We were surprised to find this high quality, interesting museum in a former gas station in a very small town just off the interstate. Lots of nostalgia here about the changes brought by highways, the automobile, and before that the railways and waterways. An interesting pirate exhibit too, and a fun photo booth. All with no admission charge!
This was an easy place to find at the main intersection in Ridgeland, just west of I-95. And don't miss lunch at Fiddlers a block away..it all made for a great break on our drive to Florida!
Some special programs were advertised that looked quite good and we will try to catch on future trips. We will definitely return.

I took my son to the train exhibit and he loved it! Great presentation and we also enjoyed the baseball exhibit too. My son immediately recognized Jackie Robinson. I was proud! He loved the train table too. The staff were very nice and helpful.

A biography on Low Country Veterans that served during World War II and how it affected the Low Country. Also a very in depth story of the first inhabitants of the Low Country, the American Indian. How they lived and socialized hundreds of years before the first europeans arrived. Also a small display of Civil war relics and stories. A worthwhile visit. Very friendly staff.

Educationally fun exhibits that change each month. Great activities for children and families that are low cost or sometimes even free!

Just off I-95 at South Carolina exit 21 is a small gem of a museum. My boys love the place as they check out the photo booth and train table. We live local so are able to take advantage of many free programs the boys especially like the kids program they have often. The staff are also wonderful!
