Great way to exercise, wear walking shoes. I would suggest you go early. Good deals on news and used items. I suggest you pay attention to the quality of products. Some times if the deal is too good to be true, it is best to walk. My friends purchased new lawn mower parts from lady in row C around 13 or so. She had the best prices on top quality parts. They call her the Lawn Mower Lady. I discovered some antiques I had to have. The bathrooms could be nicer. The roads need some gravel. There are fire ants under the tables be aware.

We have been here both on a Wednesday as well as on a Saturday but not arriving until about 8 a.m. when a lot more vendors are available. In our opinion, you seem to get better deals on a Wednesday as there are fewer customers than on a weekend, but there seems to be more vendors on weekends. All items are fantastic finds and reasonable priced. This is a great place to visit for reasonable priced antiques, collectibles, knick knacks, household items and more. It covers several acres, so plan to spend several hours searching for that special item. Snack bar available for drinks and food, Restrooms available. We all at Wagon Wheel Antiques, Mills River, Mills River, N..C. thank all of the vendors there for the great day outing.

Yes, if you love to walk and shop this is the place. Good weather days are very crowded, and the best bargains are found early in the morning. In fact this is the biggest business in Pickens for one day a week.

This was a foggy, drizzly Wednesday for the Pickens Flea Market. When we arrived we knew it would be a day for all vendors in the covered tables and we only spent about half an hour because of the weather and lack of vendors so we went back to Seneca to find almost all thrift stores were closed.

Get there early...they start packing up around 12noon! It's a huge flea market with 100's of vendors...put on your walking shoes! There is plenty of things...everyone left with a 'deal' from fresh honey, toys, NFL stickers, picture for the bedroom...PLENTY of things!

I go to this flea market/jockey lot every Wednesday morning. I love walking around shopping and browsing through everything imaginable! Fresh produce, homemade crafts and furniture, baked goods, antiques, jewelry, yard sale items, clothing, domestic and farm animals, anything you can imagine can be found here! Great prices and friendly people everywhere!

What days are the Pickens flea market open?

They don't usually allow pets there, although you can occasionally find a vendor that sells pets. This is because you can only sell animals with special permission from the office. I know bc i'm a vendor with that special permission to sell animals :)
