Myrtle Beach Segway Tours of Huntington Beach State Park

Come and join us for a Segway PT Glide at one of the Grand Strand’s most beautiful wetland and wildlife preserves. Nature lovers will enjoy the park’s Environmental Education Center and the chance to see loggerhead turtles and other endangered plant and animal species up close. The park’s freshwater lake along the causeway is a sure-fire place to see alligators basking in the sun, a variety of bird species and maybe even a mink or two.<br>Known for its natural beauty, Huntington Beach State Park was the former winter home of Anna Hyatt and Archer Huntington, sculptress and philanthropist, respectively, who left the park and adjacent Brookgreen Gardens as their legacy. There’s also Atalaya, the picturesque, Moorish-style castle which was their residence and sculpting studios. This tour is around two hours in length with training. Still plenty of time to enjoy the beach and relax before or after your “Segway PT Experience”.

We visited the cemetery mainly to visit Alice Flagg’s memorial, which we found, along with many other historical graves and just a beautiful place. The moss on the trees and the old church made for a calm, peaceful feeling. We thoroughly enjoyed walking the shaded paths through the area.

We love visiting cemeteries where local history can be told. Many low country dignitaries buried in the cemetery here. The beautiful old original chapel stands just inside the gates of the cemetery, across from the beautiful new and expansive church grounds. So must history is buried among these majestic oaks and Spanish moss. This cemetery houses the grave of Alice Flagg. We have visited here many times.

We visited this church while the Wednesday morning healing service was going on. We are not Anglican or Episcopalian, but it is something we might do again later. This church dates back to the 1700s and so does the cemetery on the ground. It was an interesting place to visit.

This church was very cute, worth a visit if you’re nearby. We noted that the campus was open to visitors but there was a preschool in site. Lots of children and families.
