Second time playing here and we crushed it! We did the CSI room. I would recommend this room to inexperienced players for sure. We have played over 30 rooms and it was a bit easy but still we enjoyed the puzzles and theme! Staff was friendly and the place was clean!

Three generations (fourth on the way) enjoyed Red Beards Revenge challenge. Since this was the 1st Escape Room experience for all except me, this challenge was the right level for the mix of age groups. We really enjoyed our time at this attraction.

Fun time, nice that it was a local place, not one of the franchise places you see at Myrtle or pigeon forge. Game was a little on the easy side but we weren't really challenging ourselves. We would definitely go back for a harder one.

The escape room itself was very fun particularly for the kids involved in our party. However, there is a challenge in Red Beard’s Revenge that is simply too difficult due to the supplied nerf guns. We had to get help which dampens the experience when someone physically enters the room to fix things.
Our Game Master seemed very jaded and stated the lack of “common sense” among players is high. Maybe they were used to drunk players from the beach, but a family of 6 plus two children ages 6 and 8 should have been given a little grace. Particularly, framing language better for a party with children would be nice to better explain rules and expectations.
Overall, the staff members were very sweet and friendly. The facility was unique, well designed, and easy to find.

A staff member at this place was extremely rude and racist to my family & myself! My family came to do the cabin escape room Saturday 4/20/24. From the beginning I felt a prejudice energy, but my family was excited to do the room so we continued. Towards the end of our hour in the room, the staff member berated us twice on the walkie talking accusing us of doing things that we weren't doing; such as opening things that we had appropriately opened by following the clues. We asked her what she thought we had done and when she realized she was wrong, she then tried to apologize. But the damage had already been done, I don't understand why she thought it was OK to speak to anyone, let alone elderly people in such a rude manner. She needs retraining immediately and also diversity training‼️

Hi April,
First I’d like to apologize for the experience you had. I have reviewed the footage and spoken with my staff about this incident. Racism is a strong accusation and I am confident that none of my staff would act racist to any group. Admittedly, the situation could have been handled better. Your game master made a mistake and thought your team had skipped a puzzle and tried to remedy this situation which would typically be how this is handled, however she was incorrect and I’m sorry this gave you a bad experience. We want every team to have the best possible experience and I’m sorry we failed to do so for your team. I tried to reach out to the phone number in your booking to discuss this further but never received a response.

It was our first time in an Escape Room. We picked CSI - Serial Killer in North Myrtle Beach. Lots of fun and laughter. We did it! After "hints" from the staff. That 60 minutes goes very fast. Can't wait to try another room.

While on vacation our kids asked to do an escape room. Not knowing what to expect we escaped the first room with time to spare. The kids had so much fun we went back the next night and completed a second room. We escaped but barely! It was a great family bonding experience and we all had to work together to complete each mystery! We will be back next time we are in Myrtle Beach!

We had two 15 year old boys with us who may be a little hard to impress. We all loved every minute of this escape. We tried two different rooms. The serial killer room and the cannibal collector room. I highly recommend each one!! They were so unique and fun. We've done a few other escape rooms in other towns and none were as fun as these two rooms. We felt like we were on a horror movie set. The puzzles were challenging but not over the top difficult. There was fun music & dim lighting to match the themes of the rooms & really set the mood. Johnny helped us and was really great. Both staff members we saw were really kind, friendly and helpful. Worth every penny!

We signed up to play one of the games called "Serial Killer" and really had no idea what to expect. Their was 4 of us in our group and were paired with another group of 4. The BreakOut folks gave us an intro and off we went. I don't want to give away anything. But I can't tell you how cool and fun this was.
Cannot remember the last time I worked as a team - we all had such a blast! Here we were trapped in a serial killers house having to figure out how to escape in time! And we did it!! We were high fiving each other like crazy! It was like being caught in a Saw movie (without the gore) and having to use our brains, guile and deductive intelligence to figure out all the locks, twists and turns to get out.
I tell ya take your friends and family you will have a blast. Were else can you do a group activity in which you are the stars - you have to work together to solve it. Great for families, great for a group of friends. It is so cool and interesting you will have a great time together.
They are in the process of finishing the other rooms and we will be back. This was so different from anything else I have ever done. We all had a blast. Thanks again BreakOut

Is there an age restriction on what games we can play? We are 44, 26, 16,14, 13, and 11

Since you have been there before i was wondering if you had to book the whole room so they do not put more people in your room ? I have been looking around and the other rooms have that same rule .
Written January 27, 2018
We had a group of 12 people. But I believe if you have less than that you will be grouped with other people in a room unless you book the entire room for yourself, which I believe would be the equivalent of 10 people, or $250.

It will be just my husband and I. What theme do you recommend?
Written February 7, 2017
Hi Erin- I think the difficulty levels are probably similar for all, so I'd suggest just reading the theme descriptions and picking something you both find interesting. It will probably be tough with just two so don't get discouraged if you don't "escape". Have fun and you'll likely be back for more.
:)
