We stayed at Edgewater Inn and walked to Windy Hill Beach. It was our favorite beach during our visit. Lots of sea shells, plenty of social distancing space, perfect area for younger kids to play safely or big kids to swim. We found three crabs by accident and enjoyed watching small schools of fish swim by. Waves were good, beach wasn't sloped too much, location to hotel was amazing.

Very few practicing social distancing. People act like all is normal. Elliot realty did a rotten job of cleaning our rental. We redid everything. We visited the outer banks recently where the concern for the virus was evident throughout. We rented a home that was thoroughly cleaned and treated and explained We will not go to Myrtle beach again.

The Windy Hill area is a nice quiet area, mainly residential. The beach isn't crazy busy but is nice and clean, very few shells and rocks. Public parking near by.

best family beach in the myrtle beach area. There are limited commercial uses and the beach has tidal pools and is very pleasant. Windy Hill has a steam on one side and atlantic beach to the north so its isolated from the rest of north myrtle beach. Several high rise condos line the beach and some resorts.

We stayed at ocean pier 4 and had a great time!!! Private beach access and a pool. The beach itself is so nice and quiet around this spot!!! I read a few other reviews that said the beach was too windy....??! It’s the beach lol... sand is like powder and during low tide it makes kiddy pools for little ones to play in without the surf. Very clean and family friendly. Close to everything. Love this spot.
