Have vacationed here every summer since 1962. Beautiful quiet family beach. Sunrises at the inlet (past 63rd ave) are often breathtaking!

Give me the gulf coast anytime and twice on Sunday over the Atlantic coast. North Myrtle Beach a bit less crowded than regular Myrtle Beach. Still expensive during the on season. I drive the extra distance and am happier in Florida.

First visit to the Cherry Grove area of North Myrtle Beach. We have been to North MB before, but first time renting a house for the family. Nice beach with pier for fishing, restaurant, and ice cream shop. Recommend this beach area!

You can bring your dogs on the beach from Sept - May....with a leash. During the summer only after 6 pm. Go online to find out the exact dates in those months.

I haven't been to the Cherry Grove Beach area in the winter months but I would assume it would be very quiet.
